As a restaurant owner, food challenges should not be built to be impossible. Difficult, fun and something to attract customers but never designed to be impossible. I also think it is BS to switch up a challenge and add extra food because you think someone can easily beat your challenge, it simply a dishonest business practice. If you can’t afford to offer an honest challenge then don’t advertise it or offer it at all.

I have a problem with places that do food challenges without having a standardized weight for the sides/entire meal. A lot of places will hit professional/competitive eaters with extra amounts of the sides, or even larger main portions, and I think they do it to add to the show/make the food look better/make it more fun/even the playing field/etc. -- I don't think it's malicious, per se, but to me it's just unfair.

I think a food challenge should at least be attainable by a high volume “amateur” eater. Regardless if Joel did another challenge earlier, if he can barely finish a challenge, basically no one should even try it.

Gotta say those fries looked so good. I love some handcut fries! Which i think should be at all restaurants. Save the frozen ones for fast food places! Killing it like always!! #Canadiansdoitbetter
Not a fair challenge. This says a great deal about the restaurant. I would never eat here or promote this place. Joel is definitely first class all the way!

When you were in Philly, the City Hall building is where part of the film "Law Abiding Citizen" was filmed. I was fortunate enough to be in that iconic movie!!

I think they purposely put all those fries to cause you to fail. But they don't know you. I'm proud of you...
