MT03 is nice. The MT07 and MT09 are slated to start coming with an available Y-AMT transmission (automatic) for the 2025 year. Who knows when it'll be available in the US, but I'm definitely looking forward to checking it out.

If you get a feeler gauge and you can check your valves you would know if they need to be adjusted or not. Basically you set the engine to top dead center and check the valve clearance with a thin little feeler gauge.

I'm not sure how it is to adjust the valves on your honda. If it is hard and you can't do it that's fine. However you also might be able to Simply check to see if they need to be adjusted.

I don't think you should wait on the values until it cant turn on. Since you use this for work you dont want to get stranded like mid workday or burn out your valves. Also it could void your warrninty if you don't check the valves often. What I do with hondas is I check it after the first 600 miles then after that I skip each other interval the manual says. For tires what you can do is remove them from the scooter and take them to a place and its often much cheaper than bringing the whole scooter.

I run a Honda PCX here in Lubbock. No valve adjustment needed unless you start to get startup or you begin to see milage issues. All other maintenance you can easy do yourself just watch some KZbin videos. Had our local motorcycle shop change my tire after I got a nail. Bought a Michelin City Grip 2 from revzilla and the shop charged me $36 to put it on if I brought in tire and rim in and it was going to be $80 if they had to do labor of removing wheel from scooter and reinstall. So $36 out the door cause I'm kinda cheap as fuck sometimes. 😂
@wilcerАй бұрын
@@lbkmoto5672 that's a great deal. I'm paying $70 for labor each tire. 😭 I really am gonna try to do it myself this time

dont skimp on maintenance or honda can deny your warranty since you bought this new.
@josephgeorgeejr7039Ай бұрын
Yea wilcer, you don't do valve adjustment ,you check the valves and see what ur clearances are, intake and exhaust, you use a gap gauge, see what the manufacturer calls for clearances, and your only checking, mechanics can do a valve check today, clearances could be good today, then they can go bad next week, thing is valve ate easy, you just turn a bolt basically, the problem and costs are because you got get the the heads and take a bunch of shit apart is why it costs but a mechanics could take all that shit apart and valve are in spec and good shape, and then they just put bike back together, chances are if they were out of spec, ur bike would not even be driving, so you really got trust your mechanics or learn to do it yourself, id tell them you'll pay for valve CHECK..BUT YOU WANT THEM TO SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT FOR NEXT TIME!! Tell them you need know because you're doing to many miles and can't keep paying for a CHECK, YOU WANT BE ABLE TO CHECK THEM ON UR OWN, because honda probably calls for valve check every 12-15k miles, your doing those miles in couple months and don't want keep paying for that shit, and checking them isn't much different than adjusting them
@xenic0770Ай бұрын
Spend the money and let them do it. Then you have someone to complain to if there’s an issue. Otherwise why buy new lol
