Unbelievable: Abandoned Courts & Fire Station Still Powered On - Nottingham

That building is amazing. I hadn’t realised it had actually closed as a Police and Fire Station. I used to work there between 1998 and 2002. I was in that building several times a week, in the Police and Fire parts of the building. All the red doors at the start of the video were Fire Service rooms, all the blue ones in the middle were Police, and the greenish ones seen mostly in the Guildhall part of the building were Notts Council coloured. It was a way of telling where you were in the building as all the areas worked together back then, so you could move from one to the other, and it was a bit of a maze as you said. I think when I worked there, the guildhall and courts were already closed, with the opening of the then new Bridewell custody and court setup, so I had never seen in there, I loved the old clocks in each court. Earlier in the video in the Police Station area, you commented on the peeling paint in a large room. I am fairly sure that was the Vice Squad office. You didn’t do the long rooms over the Fire Station, with the blue balcony rails on the inside of the building, the upper section there was a very nice canteen back in the day! That video brought back some great memories, and there were a couple of moments when you were looking for stuff and I was saying turn left, yes that door!!! 😂

madness me and my mate tried to get in we were looking for a spot for 30 mins if u go round the back there’s another abandoned little house and the windows open. im guessing u went through down that little drop into the window

At the time we went through the window but heard that had changed and the place was sealed off - now will be demolished at some point but worth a go
