Some people don't have a clue about the horses and the guards people should have respect for the great work of the guards and the horses that protect the king and country of Britain. A nd if they can't respect the guards and the horses they should stay away and Let the people who enjoy the guards and the horses doing thir work. It's hard workfor the guards and horse to do ther work. That protest was sick and a disgrace to Britain they..should be in jailed for stupid things like that.

Most of the people are very respectful and more people don’t touch the horses than do. But if the horses are NOT supposed to be touched then it should say don’t touch the horses instead of don’t touch the reins.

I understand the need to protest about issues but their needs to be boundaries put up and protection around the area during these events. I have watched events like marathons, cars zipping by playing loud music, protests of all kinds and their seems to be very little safe guards put in place along the road and around the horses. I hope that in the future more safe guards are put into place and less tolerence of drunkards, crazy people etc are rectified i.e immediate removal from premises, tresspass notices issues. New laws and legislation need to created in order for this to happen. People are getting crazier and bolder and protection around the Kings horses and the Kings guards need to updated.

If they were called upon to protect the king or a royal family member whos life was in danger they wouldnt hesitate, i saw one horse guard swing his sword at a guy who broke ranks and ran onto the mall when the queen was coming through in a procession. The police swiftly followed and arrested the guy, i doubt he would of swung the sword like that if it was a blunt blade.

@@geoffwilliams1025 I think it was trooping the colour or similar when someone fired blanks at the Queen, immediately one of the mounted Guards charged his horse at the man in the crown swinging his sabre as he went swiftly followed by police who arrested him!!

i'm not English but my theory is most of this is steeped in historical tradition and is for show only. He would never use the saber on a citizen (or would he?) it's all for the tourists, LOTS of them, but back in the day they were very very important and this is how they are being honored to remember that. I can't help but wonder how hard it is for these horses to stand that long. And yes, I am a horse owner. That's just my thought.

@asmera4547 they are real solders trained as soldiers are. Yes there is the pomp and ceromony but they would not hesitate to draw their swords if the king or other royal members needed their protection.

I think there should be a minimal dress code for people visiting. Half of them looked like they slept under a bush.

11:17 this horse’s awareness is high and he could stress out easily. 🐎🐴🌷🌱 what a lot of noise!! (protests are fine, but they shouldn’t be allowed to make so much noise going by the horses. they’re driving me nuts just listening to them.)😢
