Dear Ron: I've never been a serious railroad modeler but I still really enjoy your videos, I have been watching your channel for a couple months now, always a hundred-percenter. In a troubled world, your videos make it seem like things are gonna be OK! (@ 13:46) Christmas 1972, I was nine years old, and Santa Claus left a Tyco Twin Freight set under my Christmas tree! My set was just a little different, as it probably was the '72 or '73 vintage. My boxcar was El Capitan, and my flat car had two vehicles on it, I remember Corvettes but who knows, they're long since lost to time. The rest of the set is packed away in a box somewhere in my house, along with a Tyco Burlington diesel. I kinda wanna dig it out now!

I model from just after the Civil War to 1963, when the Central of Georgia was sold to Southern. It seems that in order to find rolling stock for my era, I have to build them usually from Tichy Train Group. So far I've built a nice 40 foot flatcar and 2 ore cars. They date from 1900 to 1918. I've also got a wood side gondola (a 40 foot flat car with wooden sides) to begin tomorrow. I still have to paint the ore cars. So far they look fantabulous with great detail. I'm still looking for an Athearn Amtrak F-7 shell. Cheers from eastern TN

I dont know. I get the tunes from a subscription service called epidemic sound. When I find a tune I dig I download for each video but I never pay attention to the artist.

Hi Ron I have a Rivarossi E8 that my Grandfather gave Christmas 77. I took it apart, cleaned and lubricated it. It runs fine by itself. When I hooked up the 3 passenger cars that came with it the wheels on the loco spin out and it barely moves the stalls out on the curve,22” radius. But it pushes the train in reverse with no problem. Any suggestions? I hope your back feels better soon. We dudes in the 50+ club have to be careful.

Traction tires? how about the thrust washers in the gear towers on the worm gear shaft? Just couple idea's. Yes this over 50 club needs better defined rules on what not to lift anymore :-)

Would you believe (Sounds like the TV show Get Smart). I've found more, yes, more stuff for ya. I do want to say I'm sorry I didn't drop by this year, but that ten-hour detour last year didn't quite go well with the little Lady. (wink, wink) Maybe next time.

Ah, yes. Doctors just love middle-aged men with ladders. Seriously, though be very careful with that back from here on out. Great video, though.
