@@diybronwynsmith263 They are extremely scrumptious and very addictive, but very easy to make. And they're a no-bake cookie/candy which makes them even better. I don't have the recipe right on hand but if you do a search the recipe is very easy to find. There are several variations out there...most commonly found recipe uses Chinese noodles (Chow Mein noodles) Which are awesome! You'll find some people add marshmallows (mom never did) but the recipe my mom used was a little different...instead of the Chow Mein noodles she used the "Pik Nik" shoestring potatoes (they're in a yellow can and if I remember correctly, usually found in the potato chip aisle) which gives them a little more of the sweet/salty blend and whether it be due to taste, or simple nostalgia, my mom's version is definitely my preference! It's just melted butterscotch chips, peanut butter, peanuts and your choice of shoestring potatoes or Chinese noodles. You just mix it all together and drop a tablespoon or so on wax paper and let him set up

Just to try it out, I mixed a half box of Duncan Hines orange cake with one-third cup oil, one egg, and some cream cheese flavored chips and baked them into cookies. It made 16 and they're tasty.

I don't think this video was too long. I enjoy seeing the extra steps you take decorating or adding additional variations. One tip for the gingerbread cookies (or any rolled out cookies) is to dip your cookie cutter in flour to help the cookie release from the cutter and not stick or break apart. Question: approximately how many cookies do you get out of a cake mix?? I realize it can vary based on the size of your cookie scoop or spoon, but I would guess about 2 dozen but if you can confirm, I would appreciate it. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Valerie! I just tried the cookies with the boxed cake mix and cream cheese added in, and rolled in powder sugar. So delicious! I used a devils food cake mix and i did add a handful of mini chocolate chips to the batter. Everyone loved them at work! Especially me! Thanks

Keep a saucer with flour to dip your cookie cutters in between uses it helps to prevent sticking. Chef gave this tip to me years ago he's right I've tried it really does work . 😊❤ loved your channel . 😊

I failed so miserably at the thumbprint cookies. I don't think I chilled them long enough and they spread out with the plum jam. They ended up looking like bloodshot eyes.😂 We just called them Christmas mom cookies.😂😂.

Valerie I just ran across your channel and I love it. I immediately subscribed. I use to stay in my kitchen hours making cookies from scratch. Several years ago I discovered the joy and ease of cake mix cookies. One my family enjoys is with a spice cake mix. It’s just so easy. Mix the mix with 1/2 cup oil and two eggs. Then stir in raisins and walnuts or pecans. Bake 8-10 minutes. Another one is with German chocolate cake mix. Just add oil and eggs. Chill then form into balls and wrap it around a roll. Dip the top in chopped pecans and bake at 350 for 8-10 mins. Will definitely be trying your recipes real soon. Thanks so much.

Those little peppermint kiss cookies look great to me. I always add the kisses in Pnut butter blossoms right out of the oven. The little Gingerbread cookies, so cute. I l8ve Red Velvet anything. I really love Red Velvet with the old time Ermine Buttercream. I really appreciate Thumbprint cookies. Lemon with Blueberry would be good. Really like Monster cookies, and have never heard of using cake mix. The German Chocolate cookies sound delicious. I like the longer videos as long as they are kept on-subject. I made the Duncan Strawberry (Cake) Cookies recently and oh what flavor they had without any added flavor but second time I made them, I did add extra vanilla. Thanks for all the great ideas.
