As an allergy sufferer and a spanish water dog owner I can confirm they ARE hypoallergenic. I get triggered by breeds such as labs, GSD, spaniels etc. But literally not a thing at all with my perro de agua. Great dogs.

Same here I sleep with mine. You better prepare though its a working dog so lots of time. Plus they are very anxious they need socialization ASAP in urban areas.

@@stephenr80 haha very true. My boy is now over a year old and doing very well. He comes to work with me and loves to guards my truck and tools while I work, so he gets his working needs fulfilled through that (and lots of tennis ball retrieves on land and water too!). He was an anxious pup but we have built his confidence a lot and although not keen on new dogs initially he does make friends with the correct introductions!

Lovely photos! But please get informed properly before sharing “facts” about a breed. The Spanish Water Dogs ARE water dogs and perform very well in water sports or jobs, that said, they are versatile dogs that are also utilized as gun dogs, search dog and herding dogs as well. SWDs are incredibly smart dogs, therefore is easy to train them to perform in many other sports and jobs. SWD are also hypoallergenic. --- ¡Fotos lindas!
