Filipinos are naturally happy and fun loving people, resilient in all aspects, and mostly with humble beginnings that they give focus and importance and every small things that give them pride and joy and we found one in singing.Every household has a karaoke and rental karaokes if not present in ones household.Singing with your friends is one firm of celebration of happiness and releasing tensions after a hard work or deppression.

Most Filipino's have Spanish blood in their DNA (even for a minuscule only) having been a Spanish colony for 333 years. For all we know most of the best singers of the ages were from Spain and its territories until modern songs came. Science have proven that a certain traits are inherited. The musicality of the Filipinos may be attributed to it because it's not confined to a particular region or local dialect only but from every corners from the island of Luzon down to the sprawling islands in the Visayas and up to Mindanao talents of different ages will just sprout from nowhere.

In my own understanding, By definition, 'professional' would indicate that you make money by doing something. A professional singer is one that is being paid for singing... Ricel is also being paid to ocassions she was invited to perform (raket). To be called as Profesional singer doesnt also needs a recording and album, for example, a professional musian, composer, dancer, etc. For as long as you are being paid to such service you are providing...and does it for a living.
