I'm glad you are finding the old bottles and keeping them plus making drinking glass out ot the broken ones
@creekwalker81784 жыл бұрын
Brandon, I would suggest getting a nice length of antler to use when digging out around a bottle to avoid damage. Might be slower than the shovel but your chances of breaking a nice bottle would be way lower.
@brandondeperna43524 жыл бұрын
I was going to suggest that too.. we use a section of elk antler out here on the west coast.. just to pick around the bottle. Brandon, I love your show... adventuring through the woods & streams & finding old stuff is my favorite.

Yes!!! Congrats on the flask! That is way too cool! It is awesome even though most see the "broken" bottles as trash, you see the value in them to repurpose them into drinking glasses!! Hopefully I will be able to buy one when they are ready!!!

That dispensary flask is worth some big bucks. As you know back in the day dad would spend his entire paycheck on booze. His family would suffer because of it. Therefore the government started to regulate the amount of booze one could buy at any given time. The dispensary would only divvy out a small amount to each household. I'm sure you're familiar with how this worked. Maybe your viewers would find it interesting if you did a "history video" about those old early century dispensaries.
@adventurearchaeology4 жыл бұрын
I really need to! Good stuff!

@@adventurearchaeology Without given away too much info in this post you know there were only a few southern states that had dispensaries for a few short years. In short many Yankees haven't the foggiest of notions of what was being dispensed. As far as they know Milk Of Magnesia came in that flask. LOL. I'll be looking forward to when you upload the history of the content of those flasks and why. It'll be a real "nail biter". LOL. I'm confident it'll be a very educational video to many of your subs.
