@@johanwass9709 I have listened to both her 9 yo and 10 yo versions many times (well over 100 each) and for the age and conditions (in front of a large live {charity for HIV} audience (9yo) and setting in a chair (10yo) both are absolutely phenomenal and by far the best ever for the age! But the maturity of her voice at 16 and the technical development by the time she reached 16 makes this version better than the younger versions and better than ANY VERSION EVER, IN MY OPINION! And I have been listening to the song for 81 years! It was one of my Mothers favorite songs so I probably heard it several times even before I was born. Not sure whose version she listened to back then, but I know she listened to a lot of Mitzi Green. My Mother's maiden name was also Green!

I believe this was the first release Angelina made after she turned 16 and was released on Valentine's Day, 2022. The song itself comes from a motion picture musical called "Babes in Arms", from 1937. The song was written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, and has been featured on over 1300 albums by over 600 different musical artists. It is now considered a Jazz standard. The Chet Baker version recorded with the Gerry Mulligan quartet was inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry in 2015. Angelina's take is easily the most breathtakingly beautiful version of this song I have ever heard in my 65 years, and is quite possibly my favorite Angelina recording......so far!!

This song was written by Rogers and Hart in 1937 for the Broadway play 'Babes in Arms'. The song was FIRST performed by Mitzi Green who played the character Billy Smith in this "coming- of-age musical comedy. Rogers and Hart also wrote "The lady is a tramp" which Mitzi also sang in the same performance!

You'll notice that Angelina's vocals are overdubbed on top of the visuals. Keeping in mind that, visually, she could be mistaken for a sultry, sensual lounge singer because of her vivacious looks and intoxicating application of the vocals in the song. By separating the vocals from the video, the viewing listener will be drawn to, not a sultry, sensual lounge singer but simply a beautiful teenage girl who is day dreaming as she meanders through an antique furnishings store. Knowing how important her mom feels with regard to how she will be perceived, the overdubbing seems to me to be a master stroke.
