Awesome experience. Thanks for sharing. What if I tell you that a huge volcano erupted near Arequipa in the early 1600s and hindered the establishment of the colony in Jamestown, VA? It was the Haynaputina volcano. At that time Arequipa was a city of 30,000 people and1,000-1,500 people died. Imagine waking-up in a city with 6-7 ft of ashfall.
