If that’s a sign of things to come for 2025 your in for a hell of a good year mate. And for the record, i reckon fast forwarding anyone’s videos to get to the shiny stuff is just not cricket, especially when you’re sweating your ring off doing it tuff, and then the hours of editing that goes into it. You keep making em , I’ll keep watching em….. in full 😂
@TerraRangerGoldКүн бұрын
Appreciate that Ryan. Thanks.

Ryan, I and a lot of followers, like to see how other prospectors/ fossickers like to see the ground and the methods used in finding gold in these content creators' videos. It's not only trying to work out where they are, but what differences that might 🤔 improve their chances of finding patches. Talking in videos to meet algorithms is almost a complete waste of time to the viewer when it's repeated over and over again by multiple channels these days. The thumbnail is often enough for the viewer to save time. Prospecting videos are just that, locate, demonstrate, deliver then bang on for as long as you like 👍. Cheers 🍻

I had a similar situation in April last year. After digging up a lot of deep trash, I managed to dig up my biggest gold nugget ever. 18.5g about 8 inches deep. Recently I went back to the spot & dug an 18 inch hole for a piece of flat tin. Gotta dig em all.
@TerraRangerGold22 сағат бұрын
That’s it mate. Dig every thing. You just don’t know what that next target is.

I just watched this video after spending the day in the Vic Golden Triangle and WOW, what a great story and video. Matt, you have captured the essence of what prospecting with a detector is all about, persistance, pain, dissapointment, fitness, mental fortitude and elation all while providing us with a real life experiencial day out on the hunt for gold. My day of detecting was very similar to yours, oh except for about 33.95 gm of gold (I did dig up a very small gold specie in quartz 0.17gm) after crushing it. But I must say I have changed my way of thinking and I no longer say I have to 'Dig Every Target' because that statement will see you go home earlier than expected, particually after digging up 38 pieces of lead shot (which fell out of my pocket while in the washing machine) you reckon the 'Death Adder' gets angry, you should see this one. But getting back to digging every target, I now say I have to 'IDENTIFY' Every Target just so as I can stay in the game.
@TerraRangerGoldКүн бұрын
This is great. Especially the death adder. 😂👍 love it. Thanks for sharing and well done on your find. Great work. Every target can be excruciating at times. But it’s all apart of the adventure.

@@TerraRangerGold Thank you, I've a couple of placer mines up here in Montana but all I find is the tiny stuff, I'm not complaining but would like to find one of those for sure. Thanks for showing it to us. I'm planning a trip down there in June maybe we could trade Adventures if you're interested in panning for some gold in the Rocky mountains.

Hey thanks mate. Not sure if I should it as is or dissolve the quartz in acid. What would you do?
@goldfools5445Күн бұрын
@ I would leave it as it is as part of your collection. It’s an interesting specimen. If you have to sell it, regardless of what people say that specimens are worth more, they are not easy to sell. In that case you will have to extract the gold in one way or another, then you will know the true value. As I said though, if you can keep it, you know it’s always there if you need.

My dad used to tell me when prospecting "If you are hunting elephants, then hunt where elephants roam". Read my book while practicing and mastering the dowsing lessons taught in: The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), by Michael Fercik. Then go back to this area and dowse the higher concentrations of gold nuggets. Use the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod to guide you to the areas of concentrated gold nuggets, then use the electronic metal detector to recover the gold nuggets as they are dug out. P.S. We can use amplified dowsing from a moving vehicle to guide us to the placer or lode gold deposits that are dowsed out of foot. I hope dowsing enriches your life intellectually and financially.
