I once had an older male lawyer take me to task because he found the language in the motion for a protective order offensive to the court. He admonished me for using it as his client was offended also. When we got to court I asked the judge if he wanted to know the words or if just saying curse words was enough. He said he would like to hear exactly what the opposing party said. My client leaned into the mike with her best NY accent and said, "He caulled me, a c**, a b***, and a wh**." Then I rested. LMAO

I had an ex who was a fatal attraction. I’m not exaggerating either. He would physically assault me in front of his own mother and his younger brother and sister. He also SA me in front of his mother and uncle. He was sick and I was just a young girl who was terrified and stuck. It was a long story, could have almost been a lifetime movie. When I finally escaped him, he would call me morning day and night, thankfully back then there wasn’t text messaging but nonetheless he was ringing my phone like crazy, I finally just would take the phone off the hook or just unplug it, but then if I did that I knew he would drive by my house or work sometimes up to 20x a day. I knew if I didn’t get away from him, he would have taken my life. It doesn’t take much to make crazy, go fatal.

@@maryholden3136 Did he? After the hearing, Mike: "I feel bad but he brought it all on himself... For reasons I can't contemplate, they both work, and he gives her everything including his dog and I, I don't know she has no obligations whatsoever." How can anyone hear all the stuff the guy did and feel bad for him? Mike seemed fixated on the money and seems fairly dismissive of the very real threats the guy is doing (referring to them as a bunch of crazy stuff, he screwed everything up, etc.). Seemed to be less about coming around and more like acknowledging the obvious facts that the guy openly violated the court order by taking the dog and truck. I think most comments are looking past the court issues and more at "wow, this guy might try to attack her." which makes any sympathy towards him really cringe. There's plenty of cases where the woman is taking the guy for all he's worth, but this ain't one of them, but that seems to be how Mike is seeing it.

@@JJCentral51 he's not "out" his own house. He still owns it and in fact, since we have no information on their property, they may own it jointly. What was said is that he agreed to continue to pay bills, not that he pays for everything. If he doesn't like the arrangement, he's free to go back to court and change the agreement where she either has to buy him out of his half of the community property or they agree to sell it and split the profit. However, I'm guessing he doesn't do this and "generously" continues to pay the mortgage ( or whatever part he agreed to since we were never given specifics) and anything else because that gives him control and in his mind, gives him a right to continue to torment this woman. A woman who has flat out told him several times she doesn't want him or anything to do with him, yet he can't take no for an answer. He moves between rage, revenge and trying to make up. This pattern of behavior is well documented in those that eventually hurt or kill their exes. So stick up for him all you like. He could easily disengage himself and start a new life yet HE chooses not to. And she gets to pay the price. Hopefully not with her own life, as several have before her.

This reminds me of when I was getting divorced. During the time period we were separated and going to court, I went away for the week-end. I came home to find that all of my horses had been stolen - by the soon to be ex. He told me he didn't take them, but in court had to fess up to the judge when asked. He did take them. However since he had taken them to another state, there was nothing the judge could do about it. - and the kicker was they weren't even counted in the division of property. I could write a book and it would be riveting, and a lot of it, some would not believe. I had a protective order and a restraining order and they weren't worth the paper they were written on.

I lost family heirlooms and other precious items because he had "packed" boxes for the police escorted pickup and I wasn't able to check them (only a few) and they turned out to be full of chains and other heavy junk!

The sun turned them in to the police but this hadn't been the first investigation The police just couldn't pin anything but there was a missing ring and they had a history of getting these people lonely elderly people they would befriend them They would help them out with their lives and then they would kill them with insulin and they had figured it out on this body There was an injection site that didn't belong there because the doctors were getting better at their forensics and they dug up a few more bodies some people have had been cremated but others weren't and so they went back and the police were after them and her friend committed suicide and yeah there was a ring and I didn't know it but my husband and I picked up the ring from the jeweler and saved my grandmother-in-law's ass. But they wouldn't have put her in jail anyway because she was in a wheelchair. But she told me she was terrified She couldn't sleep I ended up taking care of her for 6 months because I was a nurse and believe me my husband's family paid me well however I wasn't smart enough to take the money bank it and put it away so that I could get away I hadn't put everything together until a little later when I ran into talking privately which they didn't ever want but it was a few years and it was his sister came down and talked to me about the family and that's when everything fell together and there were some things my ex was doing that really freaked me out and that's when I realized oh crap what did I marry. And then when the truth came out about the grandmother that oh yeah she was sold by travelers who taught her how to be a grifter in a pickpocket and roll men for money and all this stuff and I'm like what. But the grandfather or a great grandfather had been a high man in the mob the Italian the original Italian mob in New York not the stuff they show on TV and he spent a lot of money a lot of money to find those girls and he got them back It was a big thing. But they were already ruined crime was their line and that's how she met her he thought he was saving her only did was ruin his career in the military not really he government kept him but they never really knew what she was but she married a military officer in the army. And off it goes. Oh yeah but there's nothing scarier than your husband showing up with a half truck load of crap that was it staying in our garage or basically your parents house that we're living in Oh well I thought it was really funny and it showed up you know outside this door or he said he bought it yeah you needed a hundred banana lights why and then I realized there were things he was saying about stores being broken into Oh a tire was thrown through the only window that you guys didn't put an alarm on really? And I started realizing along with the spousal abused the insane jealousy crap like that that there was something really not right here and then his mom tired of talking to me about how I needed to learn to lie and hide money and hide property and assets and land and oh yeah it got really freaky and I realized I wasn't the right daughter-in-law and she said I wasn't She needed a Japanese one.

Never be embarrassed for something that happened that you believed would be something special. People trick us all the time. We learn from it we grow and we end up with a better life hopefully we build off of it If we don't well shame on us. And maybe part of it is we weren't given the right tools to be able to pick the right guys look at all the really really good guys who end up with women just like this who treat them really horrible. I'm watching my brother go through it right now. I'm wondering will she kill him? I think he's afraid she will kill his baby The toddlers almost three now but I wouldn't put it past her if he says no. She's forcing him in to getting married. I don't want him to marry her. This guy is terrifying. He claims that he loves her more than anything, but he doesn't mean it or he wouldn't have another woman. What he loves is *control.* He wants to keep her under his thumb, and he's mortally offended at the thought that she is interested in going on without him. There's a reason the most deadly time for any abused woman is right after she says she intends to leave. This is clearly the most dangerous time for Ms. Laney. She may need to move away to an address that he doesn't have... but if she goes too far to protect them from him, then her family might be in danger, as a way to harm her by proxy. Mike, I think you're giving him way too much sympathy. I'm not saying that she deserves a whole lot of sympathy *either,* but all she's been going after is his money, and she's been doing it within the law. He's been commiting what would easily be considered criminal harassment if she *or* her family had chosen to press charges. He's trying to dominate her life. He's threatened to hurt her, and he's threatened to hurt anyone who's helping her get out from under his thumb in any way, from her mother to her lawyer to any mythical boyfriend he might imagine her to have. That is not even a little bit okay, and I'm disappointed that you seem to consider it less important than the fact that she's tried to negotiate by hardball in the divorce finances.

Mike... She's WORKING. So is he REALLY paying everything? He's good if he sucked you in too. Didn't you hear... HE used those credit cards too. Yeah he's paying truck payments... those trucks would have cost $70k or more. I doubt she got them on a grocery store job pay.. HE bought them. I'm sure she's paying other bills too and HAS been during the marriage. Plus, she hasn't even had the truck to use as he conveniently claims it is broken down. The judge was wise to restrict the money to be used to fix the truck. If nothing is broken, then he gets it back. But I bet he breaks something first. If he'd quit acting like a JackA... and get on with divorce instead of trying to intimidate her... maybe they could reach a financial settlement. BUT NO... he'd rather play mind games and drag it out. Her attorney unconventional ... but he did make an impact with the hell he's making of her life. Imagine living in a small town and he's threatening your boss... sending trash to your church & family. As far as the toys... If she had them at all and it wasn't just more of his lies. Maybe they belong to his side piece!? Do you REALLY think he cares at all about Otis? He's a manipulator. If the dog was so important to him he would have taken Otis with him when he left. If he loved the dog so much he wouldn't have agreed to in the first agreement to give it back to her. You can have a dog in most RV parks. His attorney could have brought medical documentation or a letter from the therapist. It's just a way to further harass her as he knows it hurts her. I get you see the worst sometimes. But why feel bad for THIS nut? But I don't think this woman is out to ruin him. I don't feel sorry for the husband at all. The stuff he's doing is scary. If he's pulling this crap when he knows it will end up in court... then he has probably done worse. As her attorney brought up... she hasn't reported some things that could have gotten him in trouble. That is what abused women do. They cover stuff up. I have a friend that married and divorced a guy just like him TWICE! He ruined their finances the first time and slapped her around some but convinced her to marry him again.... and went on to ruin her health. The second go round he pushed he down stairs! A month after their 2nd divorce was final... she collapsed in her apartment due to complications from a surgery to repair her leg from that "fall". They found her 2 days later when her work sent someone to check on her. She lived another week but never regained consciousness. She never reported that he was why she "fell" down the stairs. She just divorced him again and tried to move on. This was also in Texas. She had a Masters Degree in health administration and worked for a hospital system... but still believed that turd brain's words... he was that good of a manipulator. The guy in the video i's paying over $600 on RV payments. Thats not some cheap RV... and over $600 for lot rent? So $1200+. It's not like he's forced to boondock. These RV resorts that cost that much have pools, restaurants, bars, etc... I know that part of Texas... he could afford an apartment for less, but he knows he's more likely to get the cops called on him when he's on a bender if he's in a nice apartment or condo.... plus, it makes him look sympathetic.

His own words prove he stole Otis to hurt her, and planned to take her mare as well but was thwarted when the horse trailer was missing. A therapy dog is a pet with a certain personality whose owner undergoes special training and commits to take on visits to institutions, usually to cheer and offer affection to sick children and adult residents. They are also really helpful with children who stutter or fear reading out loud. Reading to a dog that's sitting next to them boosts confidence with almost miraculous results. I've trained service dogs and therapy dogs for 40 years. Otis' breed is unsuitable for several reasons, from not loving everyone they meet, to their difficulty breathing and the constant slobbering. When Mr Laney said his doctor recommended that he keep Otis as his personal therapy dog, his lie was so obvious. 🤔 He may have intended to infer he needed Otis as an emotional support dog, but that too is belied by the fact Otis doesn't live with him at all. He doesn't give a sh*t about Otis. Furthermore, he doesn't love his wife. Punishing and controlling her is the result of his obsession, not love.

If one wishes to point out words spelled incorrectly may I suggest they proof read their own work before leading with their chin. My grandfather completed only 5 years of school. My memories of him are not of how poorly he wrote but are cherished simply for the richness and power of his wisdom. I never once heard him insult another because he was, above all else, a humble man. Just sayin' y'all 🤣. Peace.

This is triggering!! My horrible ex took my dog when he left. Went to his mommy in Alaska... LEFT MY DOG THERE when he decided to move to Cali. I had to pay his stoopid mother to fly my dog back to me. 🤬 My dog has been clingy ever since. Poor lil guy.

People like this guy don't just become this way at some point. They're always this way. I think as soon as they're identified as being this kind of person they should be shipped off to a deserted island and exiled from the rest of the world.

I believe this is the last video of Mike's I will watch. I have sensed sexism before, but this one goes beyond the pale. I cannot imagine his sympathy toward the husband. With everything presented in court, he has proved to be abusive and harassing. And yet Mike feels sorry for him. I won't to watch anymore.

I keep coming back and hope he’s getting better (like maybe he’s learning how misogynistic his views are), but I haven’t seen it yet. It’s really sad.

@stoke777 I agree, I can appreciate that he's maybe had some bad experiences with women/divorce but to sympathise with this abusive son of a b*tch who is making his wifes life a misery because she dared to want to end her probably hellish marriage.

This guy is completely unhinged and insane. He doesn't just deserve to have her dog and car taken away from him and have to pay for it, he deserves to be in prison for the insane stalking and harassment he's done, and the fact that he very likely murdered that poor dog rather than let her have him. It's cute that your instinct was to feel bad for this guy, but sometimes the man in the situation is completely and utterly 100% in the wrong, and this is clearly one of those times.

It's ridiculous that he's complaining about household charges. She has the account number and routing number for a reason. He gave it to her. Also does he never look at his account? If she signed up for stuff recently then I could understand him complaining but not when this is from when they were together. I charge stuff to my husband's card/account all the time because his money is my money. Just like my money is his.

Hi Mike, prime example of the male (from Texas) ego/psychy. Very fragile. Note how none of the males (specifically judge) featured in video are the ieast bit alarmed by the extreme (over the top) dangerous, violent, degrading, demeaning conduct.

@Allie B, I don't think he loves the dog. Why would he leave it with her for a year? Why would he house it in Oklahoma when he stated that he worked in Oklahoma ONE weekend a month?

Her lawyer's line of questioning was absolutely brilliant. Not sure why Mike thinks it "makes her look bad." If anything it makes that dude look as unhinged as he clearly is.
