Those turned out really beautifully! I think maybe I would have painted the edges or something, but they look nice just as they are. I really like those fan-shaped ones. That cutter is something I've never seen before!

Thank you for your clever comment how always 😉 I tried to imitate Japanese fan 😀and I am in love with idea of napkins. Yes , sure , everyone can make the edges for the pieces different, I didn’t have time to show some of ways to create nice edges . One day 😎

Beautiful. I have tried transfering the image from a napking and the look is like water color. I like this technique better.

This is super cute and a great idea for personal pieces, but I wouldn't do this for pieces you want to sell, I'm in an Etsy group on fb where a lady got sued for copyright theft for doing exactly this. The designs on the napkins belong to someone, don't be tempted!

I wish you would say or put up text of what you're using when you use it. Like what did you use to glue the paper on with ? What was on the sponge you wiped them with later ? It's hard as a beginner to know what to do when you're not giving any information. It's like your videos are only for experienced polymer clay artists.

Amazing, as usual! I am curious as to the napkin after baking? You sanded them, yes...but that removes the remaining paper? I've seen some soak them in water after baking to remove the rest of the napkin...

Thank you so much, Amy, for your question! No, I didn't sanded all pieces ( just a little bit all the edges to smooth them ), and I didn't put my pieces in the water and didn't remove the paper. It is not transfer of napkins on the clay , it is a decoupage technique in my way, using Fimo gel instead of special glue.

That's a great idea, Mairi! Yes, you are right. 👍 Please pay attention in my video on the heart I created , There are I added some red mirror powder at the edges after uv resin. It works great. I didn't show that truck in my video.😊

Is the liquid gel fimo just liquid polymer clay? I use sculpey premo and liquid sculpey so I want to knoe if its compatible for this technique.

these are beautiful and so simple/ I have a question. I thought that resin will eventually destroy paper and that it had to be covered in modge podge or some other shielding product before using resin. Is that not true?

Perhaps this would be so with ordinary paper, but not with napkins. Apparently, this thinnest layer of napkins strongly adhered to liquid clay during baking and after applying resin, nothing happened to the paper. Thank you so much for your question 😊

I do some buff to smooth the edges and to remove the rest of napkins.😊

It is liquid clay

We have to rub the whole napkin after baking or its in boundary only because i rubbed the whole napkin and it turned out very light print after baking

If you follow my tutorial, you can see that I used liquid clay to glue one of the layers of the napkin. Did you notice that I separated one layer of the napkin? I cut them exactly to shape and glued them. Then baked. then covered with resin

No you don’t scrub the paper off after baking? Does it not matter because you were putting acrylic over it or what? I’m new at this.
