That is terrible writing. Mangekyo Sharingan is born out of trauma. Itachi planning to give Sasuke the mangekyo is at complete odds with him "loving his little brother more than anything". How did he even intend to do that anyway? he didn't want Sasuke to know the truth without which MS would never have awakened. Kishimoto was contradicting himself week after week trying to justify itachi.

I think one of the reasons why Sasuke's Mango is so striking is partly because it's the only one with an inverted color scheme. All canon Mangos have a black pattern against a red background, but Sasuke's pattern is red against a black background, which IMO makes it pop out more

It's like the government is segregating your entire family and when you had enough of it the government kills off your family. For Sasuke to want revenge is even more understandable now and I can't blame him for what he became.

Itachi's death honestly bit me harder than Jiraiya's. We always knew him as a mysterious villain, we knew he was Sasuke's endgame, but to find out how much pain he had held alone, how much he thought things through, and above all his last words, and to top it that his death wasn't as telegraphed, it just had a different impact. Or maybe it's because I'm the oldest among 3 brothers that it just hit home more. P.S. Oh you will be knowing Pain 😬

I mean, it's kinda easy to blame Danzo and the elders, but the Uchiha clan where plotting against the village and even the third where unable to reach a peace agreement. So Danzo "achieved peace" his way.

One of the coldest lines gets glossed over here too. “If Itachi wanted you dead. You would be.” Telling Sasuke, even in his dying last moments, blind, racked with Ninja Cancer, tanking your most powerful attack…if he wanted Sasuke dead…he could have done it with ease. Telling Sasuke…even now, even with Orochimaru amp, even with all you trained for…you were no where near his greatness. The GOAT Itachi.
