Ho raccolto questo pezzo di Bambù Madake e ho dovuto bruciarlo poiché la canna era molto storta, ho fatto il possibile anche se non sono riuscito a raddrizzarla del tutto. La cosa sbalorditiva è stato il suono, ho lavorato il canale interno, forato e accordato il flauto ed è risultato subito perfetto, con una risposta reattiva ed una risonanza incredibile! Credo che questo accada quando costruisci un flauto senza troppe aspettative, ma con tanta cura, attenzione e presenza, mi sento molto fortunato ad avere questo flauto tra le mani, così grezzo eppure dal suono così raffinato! sono davvero sbalordito, non ho messo lacca, o fatto spot tuning oppure fatto l'intarsio nell'utaguchi, ma credo che lo porterò al completo, con un intarsio e con un sottile strato di lacca! I picked up this piece of Bamboo Madake and I had to burn it because the cane was very crooked, I did my best even if I couldn't straighten it completely. The astounding thing was the sound, I worked the internal channel, drilled and tuned the flute and it was immediately perfect, with a reactive response and an incredible resonance! I believe this happens when you build a flute without much expectation, but with so much care, attention and presence, I feel very lucky to have this flute in my hands, so raw and yet with such a refined sound! I'm really amazed, I haven't lacquered, or spot tuned or inlaid the utaguchi, but I think I'll wear it full, with an inlay and a thin coat of lacquer! Complimenti, ottima riuscita. Mi sorprende la potenza di suono che ottieni, senza precedenti per uno strumento senza laccatura della canna. Dalla descrizione pare tu abbia trovato più o meno per caso il bambù, ma dove??!! Io impazzisco per recuperare materia prima di qualità.

I Have a 1.8 shakuhachi but the Ro note is a C# . What it can be ?

it could be badly tuned, be longer than expected or, it could be that when I play it you don't keep your chin straight looking at the horizon, so if you bend your head down the sound bends too.. I don't know, certainly a of these three things. 😊
