Unbelievable Smart Home Display / Dashboard - DAKboard Review

I've seen a lot of smart home displays over the years and this one was a little hard to believe at first , it does have its pros and cons. Let's dive into it and see what it has to offer.
In this video I've taken the approach of a hands on plug and play way to setup the DAKBoard CPU by directly communicating with the DAKBoard CPU. Keep in mind that the DAKboard can be setup from any computer or phone and then can be assigned to the DAKBoard CPU which makes setting it up more easier.

I just made one of these with a 32 inch display turned vertically. It is awesome!! Made one for my Mom with a 27inch display and she LOVES it!!! Easy to put together. The most difficult part is wiring it up so you don't have power cords showing. Choose an interior wall with power beneath where you want your dakboard.

Super helpful review! Does Dakboard have RING video security options? I would like to view security camera on the dashboard.

I haven’t tested it with ring door bell, but I could see how that could be a useful addition.

What about having your own raspberry? Which version of the dakboard would you recommend?

If you’re tech savvy having your own raspberry pi is a fun project, however if you just want something plug and play the CPU is ready to go.

@@tech-asher It would be nice to see a video with a DIY of the display but choosing wisely in terms of money and specs for the best option for monitor and raspberry (I mean it would be pointless to use a 300$ monitor for example)

@@tech-asherThe DAKboard CPU is literally a Raspberry pi in a branded case, it's not a "fun project" a raspberry pi and a dakboard cpu are the same thing, also the audio port is not audio in it's audio/video out

I would recommend a 2K , 27 inch monitor like the one I'm using in this video, Lenovo makes one, I'll include an affiliate link in the description

Bait and switch. Nearly everything in this video cannot be done unless you pay a monthly fee. It's a RasPi based system. People don't build RasPi systems to pay a monthly fee.

It has a free version. It depends on how much customization you need. The next level up is $5. Hardly a devastating amount
