Unbelievable sunflower harvesting with John Deere 9400 Combine

Goodbye sunflower maze, hello sunflower seeds!
With our crazy looking pan attachments for our combine head, we're able to harvest our sunflowers field with ease.
At Strawberry Fields Hydroponic Farm the sunflower maze was a huge hit for 2020.
So today we said goodbye as we welcomed our harvest into full swing!

Thanks! Now the seeds go into our storage bin where a fan is ran to blow air up through the seeds and soon we will take them out to be cleaned and process! I'll be posting a video on that showing how it's done so subscribe and hit that bell if you would like to be notified 😁

we are a small farm in New York as well. We have been thinking about growing sun flowers. We are looking for reliable buyers.... before we start growing. Have you guys found large volume buyers?

Yes absolutely, we grow Black Oil sunflowers and they are most common in bird seed, chicken feed, and feed for other animals alike!

How do you stop the birds eating the seeds??

Well we don't! If you harvest the sunflowers at the right time, you wont have to worry about any birds eating the seeds, but if you wait too long and seeds start falling out of the sunflowers, then you got a problem with birds, at that point you might as well have a field of birdfeeders! Lol
