Unbelievable Video Game deals at Goodwill

Nice, man. I stopped seeing stuff like that in the Miami Goodwills YEARS ago. Back in the day, I used to be able to find consoles in the electronics section and tons of retro games sitting on the discs shelf like Gamecube. I actually remember EXACTLY what my last great retro gaming haul from Goodwill was: it was a DS bag that had a red DS Lite with ten GBA games including a few Mario titles and Pokemon Ruby for a total of $5. And that was 2017. It's only been in the last years that any games have FINALLY come back to the shelves, and it's pretty much just junk shovelware.

I remember one time passing up almost a full shelf full of gamecube games (AAA games too) and all were being sold as a flat $4 each at Goodwill. This was probably 10 years ago at this point, but that is almost unheard of today.

I don't know what's more depressing... seeing those displaced Toys R Us shopping carts, or watching you find video games BEHIND other video games at a Goodwill. Our Goodwills are god awful when it comes to video games. You're lucky to find a copy of Wii Fit at our Goodwills.

Every time I go to a Goodwill all they have are old sports games, rhythm games, and kinect games.

Awesome finds! Yeah, I agree with you on finding more 8 gen games at thrift stores. Last month I had a conversation with a Goodwill employee at the counter and they said that they had been seeing 8 gen games on the shelves pop up and even PS5 games.

I'm always floored at how you're able to find decent games at your Goodwills. I can never seem to find much of anything. I do have a couple of stores in my area that have those crazy prices like wanting $30 for Fallout 3 on Xbox 360.

Great finds! The Goodwills in my area are all dried up because they send video games to their online auction website…smh…..As an MJ fan, I agree that it’s a fun game. I hope it goes up in value at some point. It’s also on the DS.

I’m jealous! My local Salvation Army closed years ago. I used to work there beforehand, and it was like Xmas everyday. We got first dibs on all items. I’m talking boxed consoles, kids boxed collections…I miss those finds.

Glad you got the GTA V PS4 box! Huge proponent of getting loose boxes. I'd have gotten that PS1 Spidey. You don't see (think it was complete) loose PS1 cases often. Loose boxes/cases is undervalued, smaller game stores have loose product, they all do! Most of my local places either let me have them or sell them for $1/2 a piece.

Days Gone is a all time favorite. When I first started playing it, I didn't like it at all. Then the story sucks you in, and it's all she wrote. The hordes can be a bit challenging and tedious for some players, including myself. Lots of strategy involved, throughout the game.

I think you answered your own question at that thrift store. The reason why they have so many games is because of their nonsensical prices lol. I see it all the time at pawn shops in my area. If you price stuff that high, it ain't gonna move. And also the fact that they're writing on the cases with markers is extremely cringe. I woulda stepped away as soon as I saw that. People come to these places to get a good deal, not to pay double or triple market value for garbage. I don't understand the logic behind these "business" owners.
