We are big Viking fans, and find the line about as good as it gets. The common areas are so relaxing and peaceful; with food that is wonderful. There is real value in the price they charge.

Where are we ‘not sailing’ !! We were lucky enough to get on the Mediterranean & Adriatic Sojourn Cruise. Several stops in Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece!! It’s our retirement Cruise we’re giving each other. VERY EXCITED!! Now the dreadful wait 😳

We have a med cruise booked for May 2023, and was wondering whether to tack on a Baltic cruise ( early June] afterwards, or would you recommend a seperate trip in regards to weather and packing limitations? Your thoughts appreciated.🇦🇺

Hi Leanne and thanks for watching. Wow, it sounds fantastic. So as for your question, it really depends of course…. So, if it were me and time (annual leave) and money were no object, I would certainly add on the Baltic! That really would be an epic trip!! Weather in the Med will not be overly hot and in the Baltic, it won’t be that cold, so ideal really. I’m sure you will have a great trip, whatever you decide. David

Viking don’t feel the need to rip their customers off, it’s just not their thing. Have a wonderful adventure, I am very very envious! You made a great choice with Viking. Best wishes, David

Just wondering if more modern music is played on the ship in places. I find cruises often have old style classical music / violins / piano etc playing most of the time. Perhaps to suit the older demographic. But I’m in that older demographic in my 60s, and I grew up with 70s music and 80s music, so I keep wondering when these cruise ship people are going to realise that even the older people Might prefer more modern music now, as our age group did not listen as much to the older style music of people born in the 40s and 30s

Have definitely noticed when the atrium music is modernised abit, people came out of the woodwork and got up and danced. And I don’t mean younger people - all ages. Then after a set of more modern music- back to the classical stuff. People often left the area. 🤷‍♀️. Don’t they notice this ?

You can always ask the musicians in the atrium to play something more modern. The pianist on my cruise was playing your typical songs, and then a guy in his late 30's asked her to play a certain song. She had to look it up since she didn't have the notes memorized. Even though I'm not huge on the classical music, I was really impressed with the pianist on my ship. She was so good that people kept talking to the cruise director about her, and they ended up giving her her own show. She ended up playing Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata for about 2 minutes with her hands behind her back.
