Unbelievable Vocal Reverb | Temu Find

I bought some of the cheapest Temu microphones, but this reverb unit took it to another level. Who says good studio equipment can't be cheap? Maybe I just found a hidden gem!?
Am I cappin or does this sound good?

Hey wavy! Idk if you're gonna read this but I am a product specialist on uad in an audio store and just saw your apollo setup and it looks sick. I have a quick tip tho. You can switch remotes on the apollo x16 instead of the x8 or x6 (can't really say from my tiny phone screen, as the x16 has the better D/A converters out of all the rack units. I hope i wasn't annoying or anything as i really do love your content to bits. Really appreciate you!

Add NS1 set to 20 percent it will take the noise right off same thing I do with the exciter inside the slate virtual mix rack to get rid of the noise

I listened without headphones, just using my phone speaker, and was like damn! The difference is quite noticeable, that number 3 preset on the Temu sounds fine.

I have a feeling it's one of the cheap multi effects guitar pedals put inside a rack mount housing. Chinese companies are known to reuse surplus pcbs like that.

Unbelievable price you got this for. Of course you hear those noisy tail ends very well which is definitely a contra. But for live performances it could do its job. Of course I don’t need it in my hobby studio where I have many reverb plugins (Soundtoys Plate Reverb, EW-Spaces, Baby Audio (all of their plugins), Waves H-Reverb, and really many more, all of them quite expensive. So this one is maybe ok for live, but for that purpose I have an about 40 year old Roland SRV-2000 Reverb (much heavier than this one). So I‘d never buy it, even not for this price … Thanks for introducing it to us Wavy fans.

I think that maybe the noise has something to do with dithering since it has a 16 bit setting so maybe it was on 16 bit when you were using it…idk though just an assumption

Temu reminds me of the Alesis Midiverb and/or Microverb series back when...usable verbs and effects not top tier but they do the job on a budget, wouldn't be surprised to find similar chips in the Temu...😉
