I have the cloud luxe for about 7 years. Was the softest model at the time. Needed to put a topper on it as it was still too hard. It’s been great since. No off gassing, no hot sports, no sagging.

I have had back issues, and my Tempurpedic was horrible for my lower back. It was OK for the first few months, now I wake up in incredible pain. I can't believe people like these.
@jonschlaman7 жыл бұрын
I have had my tempurpedic for about a year now. The cooling gel does not work. When I lay in the bed, I sink into the memory foam and it creates a pocket of heat, even if the room is cold. Then the memory foam makes it difficult to roll over because I am sleeping in a hole. When I do roll out of it, I am dripping with sweat on one side and freezing cold on the other. I have to get out of bed for a few minutes to give the foam time to spring back before I can get comfortable again. My hands lose circulation at night and my shoulders ache for a couple of hours after I get up. I tried to return the bed after 60 days, but the salesman convinced me that I should give it more time. Now I am past the 90 day mark and probably can't get rid of it. I have a $50 mattress with a $100 memory foam topper in my camping trailer that is much more comfortable and doesn't cause my shoulders to ache. My advice: skip the fancy beds and go with a firm mattress and foam topper. You will save thousands and sleep a lot better.

Tempurpedic does NOT use cooling gel so you don't have a Tempurpedic.

I bought a Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme in 2012 and love it now more than ever. I personally spent weeks going to different stores and trying different mattresses and kept going back to the cloud supreme. It's so perfectly comfortable I'm laying here in it typing this. My only complaint was the off gassing which was horrible. Honestly it took over a year for the chemical smell to completely go away although it greatly diminished after a few months I really have a sensitive nose and like the smell of my house neutral as in no smell not even air refresheners which bother me too. They would of had the perfect product if not for the off gassing. But I'm well past that point and love the cloud supreme four years in.
@123ChrisG5 жыл бұрын
The off gassing is terrible, sleeping on the floor here right now because I can't go upstairs it's like hell up there, I feel nauseous and I have a really bad neck ache, similar to the neck ache I had recently from wood floor industrial glue when I had my wood floor fitted. My only other gripe is the woman at the store I caught her lying several times trying to sell me.the smaller more shallow 21cm depth mattresses because the other one would take 6 weeks to arrive, but wow for some reason after i told her 5! Times! It's okay I will wait! She said she made a mistake 🤣. It's terrible now I've got a 30 day trial period which if I'm not happy I get an exchange (not even a refund) in which I will lose out about £1k because the next most expensive bed other than memory foam is 1k cheaper. Cost me 2.5k for the tempur mattress and 1k for the bed frame which wasn't worth the money but still not bad (worth £700 max imo) . Now I can stop thinking I've been scammed none stop scouring the net trying to find actual truths not anecdotal reports which are huge red flag. Would I recommend Tempur or memory foam mattress NO STAY AWAY just incase, also you do get that stuck trapped feeling when you sink into the bed and it's not nice don't listen to the hype about less turning (80% less apparently) because you couldn't turn even if you wanted to 🤣. I just hope I am able to get rid of the off gassing asap so I can test it for good. I don't mind losing the money should I need an exchange but I don't like being ripped off! Or mislead by sales people! It's a risk you take with tempur and it's hard to get out of it once you pay and the smell gets worse and worse, at first it's not bad then you get sick of it and feel sick and then it's like torture 😑. Will report back after my 30 nights is up!

So let's use some common sense here people. Tempurs are expensive sure. But there is NO WAY they would be as popular or successful as they are if their customers were not overwhelmingly satisfied with their mattresses. What makes Tempurs so unique is their responsiveness and adaptability. Nothing comes close to these beds in that department. Normal memory foam compresses and flatens over time, Tempurs adapt to each size, shape, and temperature that contacts it. Not to mention buying a bed based off of someone else's comfort and advice is insane. What feels soft and comfortable to you, may not feel so to me and the next person. Comfort is unique to each person. So before you just up and decide to buy or not buy a mattress based off someone else's opinion, give it a try yourself. Do it for yourself :)

You must be an employee of tempurpedic lol. Initial tests on tempurpedic mattresses mean absolutely nothing. Most people love the bed at first. However, tempurpedic beds are notorious for having problems within the first year or two and their customer service is beyond shitty

Bought a temperflex hybrid supreme. Arrived two days ago. First morning after sleeping on it I couldn't get out - felt like a warm marshmallow. or warm quicksand. Second morning when I woke up I had vertigo and my legs felt like mush.. Granted, I slept well - I always do - but felt unrested. This is my third temporpedic and I LOVED the first two. Thinking maybe they changed something about the bed. I will give it one more night before returning it. $3,000 for a warm marshmallow?Btw, I'm under five feet tall, weigh 100 lbs and am over 65.

I bought full size temperpedic for $4,000. I originally had a ikea bed (with a wood frame, mattress with no springs, so hard). With the ikea bed I had stomach burn when I woke up, sore neck & lower back. Temperpedic is really warm on the other hand all my stomach , back , neck pain went away. I could believe I finally feel normal when I wake up

Off-gassing and heat retention are major downers for me in regard to all memory foam beds vs. spring model. In brief, because of the sheer make-up of these mattresses you probably have SOME degree of those two problems with any memory foam and probably will Not with the spring type.
@jimmylang80399 жыл бұрын
I have a cloud model and it was almost $8000. Would I buy it again NO. After 6 moths or so the mattress retains a pothole of your body so even though it says you don't have to rotate it we still have to in a 180 motion. Due to the pothole my back feels worse and so does my wife's. As far as making love on it it is 10X's the effort as you sink into it and struggle for balance and is almost useless for any position as opposed to being able to load the springs on a regular bed for rebounding help. The part of your body that is on the bed will sweat like crazy while the rest of you freezes cause you can't seem to regulate body temp to perfect comfort. The vibrator in the frame is so loud at our condo that it vibrates through out the whole building and everyone can hear it probably outside even and sounds like a manufacturing plant. I thought that playing video games while using the head of the bed raised and the foot also raised would be used like crazy. We almost never raise it even to watch movies in bed. Not the beds fault on that because that part when utilized is great but that the best thing about it and not worth the $8000 price tag. The warranty is like 20 years but they know about the pothole problem and won't help you unless the hole is visible and if you're not on it you can't see it unless you just got off of it and they will say that it's supposed to do that so tuff luck. I can tell you that you can fell the holes immediately if you roll across the bed and you will feel how firm it used to be in the middle on ours since it is a king size. This will become a guest bed when we buy a bigger home and I'll never get on it again. I hope this helps someone into their choice of to spend the money on this or not. Good Luck

I have to agree with Jimmy. I spent a fortune on my mattress and adjustable frame, but thought it was worth it to have a great sleep experience. And that was true for about the first year. It is amazingly comfortable for awhile, but then it starts to sag. I sleep alone and have rotated the mattress about twice a year, but there are big indents on the sides where I sleep that will never "bounce back." I am now sleeping on the "other side" to get some kind of support, but I expect soon those sides will sag, too, and I'll have to just abandon it. I bought the mattress in 11/2015, so it's not even 2 years old and I am having the worst back pain of my life. And their warranty is a joke. It doesn't cover the longevity of their product -- only if you can prove there was a manufacturer defect in the product. I would not buy a Tempur-Pedic mattress, or any memory foam mattress again. Definitely not worth the price. If you do want to go with the initial memory foam euphoria, then buy a cheaper one, enjoy it for a couple of years and then know that you're going to have to get another one.

Have you tried the contour series? The cloud is extremely soft, and the contour can be soft as well, but the tempur material is more firm and conforming. It might help.

We also have the problem of sagging on one side of the bed when you lay on it. Checked with Tempurpedic about warranty and they said only if I can prove the sag. How am I to do that. Pictures don't show it . My husband moved to another bed. Very disappointed in this very expensive bed.

(5 minute read, non biased review) The off gassing is terrible, sleeping on the floor here right now because I can't go upstairs it's like hell up there, I feel nauseous and I have a really bad neck ache, similar to the neck ache I had recently from wood floor industrial glue when I had my wood floor fitted. My other gripe is with the woman at the Dreams store "Lauren" apparently she is new there and has only been working for a few weeks but is somehow ex military and very very professional sales woman but also very dishonest. I caught her lying several times trying to sell me a smaller more shallow 21cm depth mattresses making all kinds of excuses such as "they are all the same" or "the bigger one will take 6 weeks to arrive", but wow for some reason after i told her 5! Times! It's okay I will wait! She said she made a mistake 🤣. It's terrible I feel scammed now I've got a 30 day trial period which if I'm not happy I get an exchange (not even a refund) in which I will lose out about £1k because the next most expensive bed other than memory foam is 1k cheaper. Now I can stop thinking that I've been had, I'm non stop scouring the net trying to find actual truths not the waves and waves of anecdotal reports of which are huge red flags. What is crazy is if you type tempur in KZbin for some crazy reason you get hundreds if not thousands of videos, now I spend a lot of time on KZbin and that is not Normal. Or mislead by sales people! It's a risk you take with tempur and it's hard to get out of it once you pay and the smell gets worse and worse, at first it's not bad then you get sick of it and feel sick and then it's like torture 😑. One more thing the woman in the dreams store said off gassing had never been a complaint, I do not believe that now. I did do plenty research prior to buying but obviously not enough and I was fooled, I did ask the delivery guys whether it was common for people to return and he said yeah we have a few a week, so I'd say out of every 10, atleast 2 or 3 go back. Not for everyone and I know sleep is subjective so I am giving it a go. Off gassing could have been sorted by some kind of coating, that would also eliminate the mould which is a whole other story altogether CHECK THAT ONE OUT LMAO. Almost forgot about that. Just Google it 🤣 Will report back after my 30 nights is up! Until then don't buy one of these! Spring mattresses are pretty much failsafe and you can return them most times if you are unhappy. Take care sleep well..😉

@renewer honestly if you have any questions please ask, foam feel is not springy atall and had I not got this tempur mattress I would have gotten a high end spring mattress and renewed each 5 years. Basically for the price of the foam mattress I got I could get 2 decent king size spring mattresses.

Stay away.. I spent $4000 ...After about 3years now... I can say it not worth it. It ends up sinking and the spots you sleep and ends up being softer than the edges where we don't sleep on.. we bought the second firmest model and after 3 years it still ends up sinking like a spring mattress...Save your money! Horrible for side sleeping too. I'm a back sleeper and it becoming too soft for me. Id rather sleep on a mat on the floor now. It creates a hammock effect at the upper back area....Overrated and over priced... I'm just giving my honest opinion after 3 years. I've rotated the bed twice already.

+Josiah Kratz. Well since you know nothing about me you don't have a clue about what you are talking about. The bed actually did make me very ill. The fire retardant chemicals they use in our beds now are not safe. there have been studies done to prove that. If they were safe like you believe all the other countries would not have banned the same toxic chemicals. I can only hope that you or one of your family never experiences an illness caused by something they are sleeping on or using. I wouldn't wish what I went through on my worst of enemy's. Why do you think so many children are coming down with Cancer at such young ages. It from all the toxic chemicals that are being forced on us on a daily bases. We should be able to buy a bed that has not been saturated with toxic chemicals. Anyway you can choose to believe what ever you want. I know for a fact 100%what made me sick and I have the proof. God Bless you and yours

Josiah, well your comment sounds pretty idiot to me.Of course your expectation would be sky high when you burn a lot of money buying such an expensive stuff. What else would you expect? Even you are rich, you'd still expect your money is well spent. Otherwise you must be a fool.
@noramorales18658 жыл бұрын
+Josiah Kratz. You sound very young. all I can say is you should do some research. Do you know that Tempurpedic has several class action law suits against them for people getting sick from the off gassing? FYI we had our mattress for almost 2 months and the odor was just as strong as it was from the first day they brought it in our home. (even though we had our windows open everyday in our room) I can only say that I am thankful that our salesman did not have your mentality about our situation. He himself said that it is quite possible that our mattress may have been oversaturated with the flame retardant. Which would make sense since the mattress odor was just strong as strong as it was day one. He himself said he didn't know of anyone getting sick but when he spoke with the manager of the store he learned that the store actually had several cases of people returning their Tempurpedic for the same reason. Another fyi...I never thought in a million years that I would be sickened by a bed. I know for a fact 100% the bed is what did it. I was perfectly healthy and within a month of sleeping on it I felt like my body was shutting down. The Doctor did several test for the normal things such as thyroid, sugar levels etc. all normal so we started deducing what had changed and the only thing that was different in my life was the bed. My husband went online and researched and found that there were people with same symptoms that had found it was from their bed. So we put the bed in the garage and slept in our old bed in our guest room ( could not use our room as it took 2 weeks for the odor to dissipate) within 2 days I started to feel a little better. It took a full month to fully feel 100% and yes we went back to the bed and within 2 days I started feeling bad again. So the bed went back to the store. Do you know that the memory foam that is used for the beds was actually meant to be used in the space shuttles but NASA actually ended up scraping it because of the off gassing. Not everyone will have a reaction to these mattresses but people that are more sensitive to chemicals should steer clear. I would have loved to have been able to keep my bed as we did need a new one. We are back to sleeping on our old bed that we bought back in 2005. I also spoke to a dealer that actually stopped selling Tempurpedics after he had a few people that had brought their bed back because it made them ill. So he did his research and after had decided not to sell the mattress any longer. like I said try researching before you try to make it sound like I have no idea what I'm talking about. God Bless
@user-7749xyz-ijk8 жыл бұрын
Josiah Kratz, you sold 250k tempur mattresses in 2 yr time? That means you are selling about 342.5 pieces per day if you didn't take any day off. Do you know You bluff like hell even just saying 250/2 yr? You have no understanding of that every person is different and reacts also differently to different materials. Saying that tempur is not harmful and that you know mattress well because you sell them is non sense. Latex is natural material and still people can have allergy from it. So it's obvious you know nothing about what you are saying. More, don't talk about God drinking poison and not get sick. God is not going to help the customers when they are dead. Another non sense I've ever heard. My God... You are so naiv...
