Crafting is all about trying different mediums until you find the one that brings you joy and you love doing it. It can take years and years to find where you fit in. I’m so happy you found that place. Feed your soul and let yourself be free to be in that place. We all support you and love what you are doing.

I discovered you because of the resin content and I'm still here! I love watching anything crafty! The most important is doing what you love! When you love doing something it shows and when you don't it shows too! So people who don't like the tufting can stay of go elsewhere! I prefer someone who's enjoying what they do to someone who doesn't!

Heather, this is your journey. You should never feel like you have to change your journey to please someone else. If someone doesn’t want to support you along the way so be it, you make so many others happy. And most importantly you’re making your self happy by doing something you love. Keep it up!!

I started watching you when you were working with resin. I fell in love with all your videos. I remember you tapering off and just started getting into tufting rugs. It was very different but interesting at the same time. I did look into tufting as well but knew I wouldn't be able to make them. Which is ok. I have so many other crafting interests that I don't miss not trying it. I can enjoy watching YOU make them! :) I am the same way. I watch crafting videos on YT and think to myself, "That looks interesting. hmmm. I wonder if I can do that too." So, on some of them, yes, I try my hand at them. Mainly just to see if I can create with that medium. I think the rugs are really awesome btw! And not every crafting medium is for everyone. :) That's why there is so many different ones out there! I haven't watched you in a long time but I'm really glad I watched this one. I can see how happy it makes you and that is what matters most. How a craft makes YOU, as a creator, feel! You go girl!

Heather! Please don't apologize for being excited and inspired!! 🥺❤ Finding new things that excite you, following those interests, and seeing where they take you are totally natural parts of being a creative person. Your videos are a documentation of you and your artistic exploration, and those who get it will stick around and support you no matter what medium you're working with at the moment.

I’m so glad you changed your frame, I was worried about you falling while holding a very sharp tool. I guess that’s a Mom comment or in my case a Nana one.😊 I suggested a sturdy stepladder, your solution was much better! Over many years, I have tried plenty of different art forms.. Pottery, Ceramics, Sewing, Woodworking, Oil Painting and eventually Stained Glass. I enjoyed most of them.. some more than others. But, Stained Glass was my passion. When I was in my studio, hours would fly by and I never even noticed. I was fortunate enough to do what I loved professionally. Most people aren’t that lucky. Keep doing what you love and don’t let anyone take even a little bit of that joy away from you.❤

Hey heather I came across your videos when I started getting into resin and I’m absolutely obsessed 🤩 mainly because I have always loved jewellery making when I was a teenager in high school it was what I wanted to do. But then I had my daughter at 19 so I just focused on been a mum and forget about it. But sadly she died in a tragic car accident in 2020 she was 18 nearly 19. So I found someone to teach me resin and it’s been a great outlet for me in traumatic experiences in my families life. So seeing your resin videos early one giving me tips and tricks definitely helped. But seeing your confidence grow with the tufting I can see you have a real passion for it ❤ so keep doing what you really love ❤and you know what I’ll keep watching. And you know what creative people well I know from my own experience and with adhd I hyper fixate on one creative on one thing for a while and then eventually it doesn’t maybe give us that same joy 😢we need a break we can come back to it also later on x

So many things you say in these blogs-I feel like we could talk for hours about rugs, ideas, other arts… Tufter to tufter: the reality is we just can’t help it! If tufting is meant for you (and obviously it is!), its hard to pull away to focus on other arts. I can totally relate. If being creative makes you happy, CREATE! Whatever medium you choose, whatever the outcome, YOU ARE inspiring. Never apologize to the critics! Never change what you’re doing creatively if YOU are happy. Especially if it’s to appease someone else’s expectations for entertainment. It’s impossible to make everyone happy all the time. Everyone’s happiness with your creative choices doesn’t matter, yours does. I’m not into making resin art (I’d like to but…eh); however, I’d watch you [perhaps learn along the way] just to watch you create whatever it is. You see, it’s not just what you make- it’s how inspiring you are while you’re making [insert project/medium] that makes it, and you, so worth watching. I can only imagine how happy that long pile machine makes you! I was giddy myself seeing you pull that out of the box. It’s beautiful! And wowza! That’s the perfect length for this unicorn I’m working on! Tell me more about where you got it, please? Was it similar pricing to a standard machine? Ship time? Now I’m debating on starting the mane this weekend as planned or waiting to order one of these myself….oh the heartache of love at first sight!!!

Hey I see alot of comments agreeing with this pov, but I think it's important to get funky with your crafting life! I have so many different crafts that I have tried and loved and they are on the back burner for now, until I get inspired to do them again. Right now yarn and wool based fiber arts is the most fulfilling for me, so I get where your coming from. As one of my knitting podcast hosts Tayler Earl calls it, we artsy people can be multicraftual and that's okay 😊❤

@@ArtsyMadwoman One more thing… even if it’s your “JOB” and while doing it you notice it doesn’t spark joy, then you’re not creating with love! When something is created with love it is always more beautiful and priceless!! IMO you got burned out and the flame was no longer there! I’m sure within time the flame will return for everything Artsy you have done and new sparks will appear as well! Myself I use to love flipping furniture but it became a job and no longer was healing for me. Now I’ve started doing acrylic fluid art and get so giddy whenever I create something! For me creating is comforting and allows me to feel peaceful and happy without big pharma! I just need to learn how to sell my art just to be able to keep creating! That’s my biggest issue and goal! I find it very nurturing and euphoria seeing others enjoy the beautiful creations I have made.
