Unbox - The Best 3D Platformer You Haven't Played

I first reviewed this game for Cliqist way back in October 2017. Since then, I've come to have a new appreciation for this game. I've gotten a lot better as a writer, review, and video gamer. Also, in that video I used footage captured using the PS4 capture feature, in 720p 30FPS, whereas for this review I'm using a PC, recording at 1440p 60FPS. The difference is staggering. You described my experience with Unbox exactly. Such a fun game to just mess around in, but progression was just an absolute chore. Such a shame we'll likely never see a sequel.

I was always kicking myself for not liking this game but the mishmash of mechanics vs what the game asks of you, like you said, was exactly it.

Man, I just discovered this game and it is incredibly fun. Playing it on the switch so it is ugly but the gameplay is just fun. Reminds me of Spider-man swinging in that jumping around, unboxing, and exploring is just great gameplay/controls
