Is it me or does the first game look too samey? It has a good story, but you can tell it was made in Unreal Engine. I just feel that shares visual similarities to games like "The Lies of P" or even "Hogwarts: Legacy." Its not a bad thing, I just wish the game's devs branched out in visual direction. I think the main issue might just be the character movement and motion blur. Unreal Engine has a signature way of executing those two things that you can easily notice.

I dont know ideas to give you, i discovered the channel with the obscure and rare indie games, also i like a lot the kickstarter videos, is really interesting for me to discover what happened to those failed games and what is new about them. Also please keep those bloopers moments, its more friendly to me. Happy holidays and waiting the news vids!

One thing I learned while making my Josh's Junk Drawer videos lately is that those blooper moments can be fun and funny, whereas before anytime something went wrong I would get frustrated. It's good to own up to mistakes and to just roll with them rather than trying to be perfect all the time.

Popularity breeds popularity, if that makes sense. As you seem to say, the mix of more popular and niche indie games is the way to go. Maybe once a month one per each, or one month is for the popular and the next is for more niche games. I'd love you to cover Roblox adventure 3d platformers, maybe as a whole video. I can't remember if I've commented about that before. I have a spreedsheet of people to contact about my game in that space. There are so many great games on Roblox that people brush off because it's Roblox. I hope to change that norm. A group of fellow game developers who are working on 3d platformer games on Roblox came together to make ConQuest 2024, a game hub showing off like 10+ games in the space. To give a short list: Stars Align, Microwave Dinner, Find Everything, SUPER BLOX 64!, Detriment, Tower World, and my game (PB the Flying Pig) Can't wait to see the Kao video! (I love 3d platformers) :)

as someone who was very interested in robot champions (and very recently went into a rabbit hole trying to track down what happened to it) i have a couple updates on how prospect games is doing. first of all the rebrand from robot champions to smashpunks from what i understand had very little to do with player feedback and a lot more to do with an internal desire for the game to chase more mainstream appeal. the sport of robot combat is pretty niche after all. that kind of killed any excitement i had for the project and it seems i wasn't alone as things went radio silent past that. the next major update i can find is about eight months after the game's rebrand in april 2022 when it was announced on the studio's patreon that prospect games had shut down. the founder rebranded the patreon and discord to "enemy team", and while they originally expressed interest in continuing with smashpunks, it was eventually canceled as well. enemy team would release a game in early access in january of this year, a vr spider-man type thing named webshooters, but there have been no updates since february and the discord is entirely dormant.

Japanese audiences generally lean towards Nintendo in the case of this lawsuit for several reasons (all bad if you ask me). They really do not seem to comprehend the repercussions of this lawsuit if Nintendo wins.

Wanderstop, freeride, paralives... Yeah, i am not that much into jrpgs. But i am most intrigued by both blue prince and clair obscur, really looking forward to them now. Even though the latter one seems a bit to good to be true... But keeping fingers crossed!

16:11 I want more "Zelda-likes with parkour", as I have trouble finding satisfying top-down movement. Don't really know why, but I'd rather play 2D/2.5D platformers more engaging in topdown than sidescrolling (and don't get me started on isometric which is its own thing).

I'm legitimately excited for your game! I typically do not like 3d platformers with 2d sprite based characters (namely because I feel like the flat sprites make it too hard to judge depth) but your game looks like it handles it well. Definitely going to be a day 1 purchase! Keep up the good work!

@ Thank you! We really had to figure out how make Ruffy controllable in the 3D space. He has got two shadows now, one is always straight under him (position), the other comes from the sun and shows his height. Also you can hover being carried by your bee for a precise landing. Hope you will enjoy it!

All of them are at least coming to PC. Off the top of my head I know Eternal Strands and Expedition 33 are coming to PS5 and Xbox, Ruffy and the Riverside is coming to Switch. Often the case with indies these days is that they release on PC first and then get a console release later.

A similar thing happened with Ludosity, where Ittle Dew started off as a 2D Zelda pitch! Nintendo declined but gave the okay to release the game as their own thing. Hence, Ittle Dew on Wii U!

I was rrwlly surprised at the min avg being 31uad. I expected single digits, but if there was a game witj such cheap donors it probabaly wont meet the goals.
