That Slime was always like water! Back when they were first released I notice how runny it was and I never bothered with it, as I recalled when it goes bad after opening it turns a nasty Brown.

I remember getting elduardo, Egon Slimer and ecto-1 for Christmas when I was 7/8? I loved them! I played with the ecto so much that all the removable parts were lost and the parts that could stay on where yellow, worn and bent. Great toy. I'm sorry I ruined it:/ could you review the ecto 1?

I recently picked up the Extreme Ghostbusters Ecto-1 and Egon Spengler on eBay. They look good together but the Ecto-1 is VERY delicate.

I don't usually do comparisons but it's one thing i like more about extreme ghostbusters figures than the original kenner line for The Real Ghostbusters. Ghost traps. Would have been cool to have that in the original line

I remember those! They were fun but I always hated that they left out Garrett completely. Multiple Kylie’s, Eduardo’s, Rolands, and all the side characters, but no Garrett. I wish they would release a line that actually put him back in the series like he should have been in the first place.

@JustAPrayer I have the Exterme Ghostbusters "custom figures" complete set and all the characters including "Garrett" in his wheelchair look like their cartoon counter parts and come with the same proton packs and netrona wands seen on the show! A great rare find for sure! All are in resealable packaging too!!👻🚫🧐👍

Garrett was planned but the CEO of Trendmasters hated it, so it was cancelled. I am fortunate I own an official Prototype of it and I think it's incredible. To know knowledge there was only 2 of them made. It's unfortunate so many of the toys Trendmasters planned but never released, were often far better then what was released.

The backpacks are not painted, they are molded in colored plastic, so the blue from Egon's backpack couldn't rub off on his cheek.

As a kid i loved these toys but it always bugged me that they didn't wear the same gear as the show and that their equipment wasnt the same as the show, i never understood that. Other than no Garrett, was a great line. Props to trendmasters, as a kid I broke the light off the front grill of my XGB ecto 1 and wrote them in my best 12 yo handwriting. They said they didnt have sets of those lights but sent me replacement parts for every other accessory. Now over 20 yrs later the camera on the roof broke and i had the replacements still in bag

Passed by here as I’m thinking about picking up the Slimer figure. He looks ok I guess! I’ve always thought (and even more so now we’ve had 3 more modern takes in the GB film franchise) that a “GB3” film should have been loosely based around the Extreme GB concept - 1 older head training up 4 new Busters. Mix of males and females and I like the concept that each has a back pack that has a speciality (ie a large trap). Also Sam Hain would’ve been a perfect movie major villain. Oh well.

I was hoping to pose them next to my Real Ghostbusters collection but that size difference would really bother me.

I hope they can relaunch these figures when the 3rd film comes out next year, and not only that I wish that Netflix, Amazon's Prime. Would pick up Extreme Ghostbusters and continue it along bringing back The Real Ghostbusters.

That means Hasbro would have to get hold of the TrendMasters figure molds. The molds might be too old to use or they're lost. It's why Hasbro hasn't reissued G1 Sunstreaker. The mold is broke and too expensive to make another.

Kaylee is my least favorite of those toys. In the cartoon, she wore that football looking armor with the giant circle ghost trap on her back, and she had a pistol type neutrino thrower.

You should try to get the Extreme Ghostbusters role play toys that trendmaster had made they did the EGB proton pack and the EGB ghost trap. It was a short lived toy line.

I am guessing the toys were based on earlier concepts for the characters and equipment. The same thing happened with the Kenner Real Ghostbusters toy line. Both the Proton Packs included with the first series action figures and the Proton Pack roleplaying toy were based on the Pilot episode produced by DIC, where they had a different look from the design used once The Real Ghostbusters was greenlit at ABC.
