I’m pleased that high-end pens have this status, they deserve it, they are genuinely desirable pieces. It’s a bit like cars though, I think it more impressive to make, say, a Fiat Panda than a Ferrari Enzo - with unlimited money you can do anything but it takes real skill to make something affordable and good. It’s why I don’t have a 149 but I do have lots of Lamy Safaris.

WOW. Just WOW. What a collection! I wouldn’t be able to resist inking most of them. As a favourite, I have to say the Montblanc Heritage 1912 as it has long been on my wanted list but those two Pelikan Raden editions, simply gorgeous.
