I think every child in the 1800's knew the non-magical version of that slate very well, since they would have been using them in school. They were using actual slate back then, so it makes sense that this is genuine material. The condition is immaculate, and the SPOOKS is an awesome Easter Egg. That small detail made it my favourite ittybit in there.

Also, the box with the card in it - I think that's a variation (there are so many) of the item you put a card in, close it, then open it to show the card has disappeared, or changed, etc. I got that from one of Peter Turner's Kickstarter kits.

Try reaching Copperfield with this. He would definitely have it studied & well-preserved for couple more centuries with proper lighting and temperature.
