I own this collectors edition, bought it 6 years ago for $1000. Just got it on the table a couple weeks ago and played my 5th game today. I won for the first time. For me this will replace Star Wars Rebellion as my favorite game. It’s a heavier game than Rebellion. It’s taking me longer to learn but that’s a good thing. I can’t wait to play it again.

- The size of the Anniversary Edition board is 20% larger than the retail production version, not to mention the embossed Mount Doom. - Those poster boards you showed toward the end of the video are meant to be layer separators, to separate the different levels of trays. This not only helps protect the trays from each other, but also adds stability inside the box when it's being transported. Keeping them all at the bottom is not the intention. Anyway, I got my copy of the Anniversary Edition for "only" $500. I bet the guy who sold it to me is kicking himself now! :) And to answer your question, I personally wouldn't pay more than $500. Now if I made a million dollars a year, my answer might be different!

I love War of the Ring but soo sad to have missed the collectors edition! I'm hoping so badly that they do another with all the expansions included 🤞🏻

They are absolutely going to do another print run. Probably when Kings Of Middle Earth Anniversary Edition releases. Ares games made clear that WoR:AE is not a ‘collectors’ edition.

I own this edition, it’s very well produced. I used to play it semi regularly but my 2 player games buddy moved away. I know it’s more of a collectors piece but to me a game is meant to be played. It would feel like a total waste of money if all I did was display it on a shelf. I have battle of five armies collectors edition as well. Also an awesome game.

I love this great edition of War of the Ring. But it's so enormous, it wouldn't fit on my table at home. I'm already having trouble with the expansions this game has added. This is the greatest game of all time and yes, you should play this game. It's such a fun time!

That ranch is retirement goals for sure. War of the Ring is a lot like TI4; I really want it but I'll get it played like once a year at most.

I own the original limited book edition of this… Still the star of my game collection! Real eye catcher. I am Tolkien fan and this was and is the only game where i put this much money in single game. So for me it is/was worth of it, but to most people no. You need a Big table for this version ;) And it takes a lot of space when in shelve… and i still think that it was the best game Purhosen i have ever made so yeah! Crasy, but so nice to own and put to the table from time to time…

Do you think you will attempt to fit the new "Kings of Middle Earth" expansion in another version? Definitely understand if thats not possible tho. I may be interested in buying this either way, sometime in the future.

Holy crap! That is a Game with a capital-g-sus-G. Couldn't invest that much in a single game even tho it would be a collector item but cool to see it anyway! That game library looks amazing btw, I'd probably just get lost in the game shelves and in playing them for weeks, months, years.. Thank you for your hard work on the videos and hours and hours of quality content! Keep up the good work, but please also remember to take care of yourself. Congrats on the success so far!

Great unboxing video...very detailed! I remember back in the day however unboxing stuff used to be fun...it was like opening a Christmas gift. Is it just me or are companies getting either lazy or uncreative in their presentation? Great video though :)
