Greetings from Canada. Back in the day, I had that same Ferrari, and my friend had that same De Tomasto. We’d race them on our HotWheels track. His car usually won; must’ve been the right balance of weight distribution. This was a nice nostalgic look back 👍🏻

Ah actually the Marcos XP was a Repco-powered Le Mans racer intended to beat the Fords, Ferraris and Porsches at Le Mans. It only raced once in Belgium but the project ran out of money before it could race at Le Mans. Corgi had another weird Marcos in their bigger model range - the Mini Marcos, which was also a Le Mans racing car and one of the few FWD ones (Based on a mini chassis!).

@robsterbob580 You're welcome. Sadly only one Marcos XP was actually made (I think XP stood for 'Experimental Prototype.' It is commonly called the Mantis but I think that was actually the name of a really ugly road car they made in the 1970s.) and I think it got taken to bits when the racing project went bust. Not the most pleasant looking toy car (The real XP was lower to the ground and a nice lettuce green! It certainly did not have yellow glass lol!) but I liked how Corgi made toys of cars you hardly hear of these days or even see in Vanguards. The XP was also the only mid-engined Marcos made.

Nice little selection bob, good video using the stand ,good to put a face to the voice. That van is pretty good ,would be better in the larger scale and decals instead of dodgy stickers,all the best Martin

Thanks Martin 👍 Agree that the van would look great in a larger scale. Bigger sized models are better. That Tonka van I've got is one of my favourites.
