I'm not sure why the quality is so bad. I uploaded an HD video and it says it's playing back at HD but it seems more like 480p when I play it. Hopefully for you guys the quality is good 😭

I'm always wondering if every time we see an actress wearing anything in a 1950's movie she has a corset underneath? Your video makes me think they do because everything looks so much nicer and smoother with one. So my question is do we have to wear a corset for our vintage outfits to look right ? My idea isn't to start a debate on body shaming through the years, but I would like to have your opinion.

It’s not always a corset. There’s long-line bras, girdles, waspies, and waist cinchers (all stretchy but create smooth lines and lightly nip in the waist) and then there is corsets (rigid). Both were used in the 1950s but corsets were usually used in formal wear or haute couture. Hope that helps! 💕

You can breathe just fine if you’re wearing it correctly. The tiny waist is largely an illusion created by the silhouette the corset creates. Wearing a corset does not equal tight lacing.

Well, women can deal with having 8 pound babies + a plazenta + amniotic fluid in their bellies. And yes, most of that sticks outwards, but by now means all of it. We still manage to breathe and digest and have a heartbeat somehow. Or in other words, our organs can deal with being squished together a little. You might not be able, to really take a deep, full breath, but normal breathing is absolutely no problem in a reasonably well fitting corset.

As long as you don't have big boobs corsets look good but big boobs look bigger with corsets
