High then low is normal. Rickenbacker does it the other way, but I played one the other day. It sucked having larger string first as half the time you didn’t hear the higher note.

I just ordered a Cozart 12 string but it was a semi hollow Strat type. With any luck I will get it tomorrow! I hope it sounds as good as yours does! I actual think the heavy part you played on it sounded great! There is no rules in rock and roll! :).
@mosestalbot4 ай бұрын
Yeah after I made that I realized there are some heavy 12-string parts out there. "Man In The Iron Cage" by the Neal Morse Band, for example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aacn6EhLmYh6s

Mine came in damaged. Had two cracks in the body near the neck. It was poorly packaged. I asked the seller for an exchange as I was happy to try another. He said the easiest thing to do is an Ebay return. It is probably just as well. The guitar had its good points but was very lightweight, felt like a toy, and was poorly made.

@@cranstonsnord4334 That's too bad. I now have two Cozarts and I don't remember either being poorly packaged. Certainly neither arrived damaged. The 12-string is a solid body, but I have a 6-string strat semi-hollow and it's sturdy enough. Yeah it's lightweight, but you'd expect that from a semi-hollow.

@@mosestalbot Thanks. I have looked at this guitar again and considering I paid only 140.00 for it, I am leaning towards just keeping it. The cracks near the neck are small and may just be in the finish. Either way, I do not think they will affect the stability of the guitar. As far as the weight, you are correct and I did not think of that. I was in Guitar Center yesterday and I handled a few expensive hollow and semi hollow guitars, and they were very lightweight also. It has a problem with the bridge and saddles, but I think I can fix that. It has stayed surprisingly in tune since I have had it and has no sharp frets that tear up my hand. It also looks pretty nice!

@@cranstonsnord4334 Yeah I pretty much buy cheap guitars expecting to have to upgrade X, Y, and Z, plus fixing up fretwork or whatever. When I don't have to do all that, it's a plus.

The head stock match the top, it's very nice. It's very strange the hum goes away when you play the two pickups together, this is a very nice feature. 👍

Yes, they must be wired out of phase to cancel the hum.

Good review man! Doesn't sound too hateful. What can you expect for $150 right? I'm a lefty and there isn't much option for 12 strings so I was gonna give one a try.
@mosestalbot2 жыл бұрын
Really not too bad! I was able to lower the action quite a bit and that's much better. I did find one fret that was sticking up slightly and fixed that too. One of the high E strings was in an added slot in the nut but once I got that put in right it feels better too. Other reviews seem mixed so I guess YMMV but really I'm not upset about this purchase.

Straps are the shoulder straps for the bag. Bought a number of gu8tars from these guys in Ripley, MS, They are what they are but I scored a beautiful double neck with hardshell case from them. You just have to understand these are bottom of the barrel guitars.
@mosestalbot2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I realized that later.

Considering out of the box, you did well. Cheap Chinese strings and a setup will make it a killer...
@mosestalbot2 жыл бұрын
Yep I got ya. I did a setup job and now it plays pretty well. I might consider replacing the nut since the tuning stability isn't amazing. That could be partly strings and tuners too. I'm not thrilled with the way the bridge is set up since the second string in each course is much higher than the other, so I have them all slanted. That's weird, but it works. Thanks for watching!

I think it’s nice for the price. Thank you very much for doing this review! Would you mind in sharing the link that you bought?

It was on ebay, I don't see that exact model available anymore.

You do not want to receive a guitar in tune. Guitar strings should be loosened to avoid damage while shipping. I have ordered many guitars from other countries and they usually take apart the neck. Some sellers from the US on Reverb do this also. Still nice review. I am surprised how good your guitar is!!
@mosestalbot Жыл бұрын
I don't remember what I said in the video, but I really didn't expect it to be in tune. The neck is a lot thicker than I'm used to, but really I have no complaints with this guitar!

What user did you purchase the guitar from? I’ve seen one who sells cozarts called cotteneyedjoe, but wasn’t sure if he was legit or not.
@mosestalbot2 жыл бұрын
That was the one! FedEx lost the guitar for a week but that's not cotteneyedjoe's fault.

You never ship guitars fully tuned especially a 12 it can damage the neck!

Thanks, good to know!
@GuitarP0RN Жыл бұрын
Every manufacturer ships them fully tuned and it's perfectly fine for the instrument. Packaging a guitar properly is much more important. You gotta pack it that'll be safe from a 6 foot fall, at any angle.
