DAC is the first company I buy from these days. Diamond Dotz is the second. I love the quality of the canvas, yes, the drills are staticky; however I don’t see nearly as much trash drills as I do with other companies (other than DAC). They only have round drills (my preferred shape), and yes most of the canvases are partials. With their numbering system 5000’s are the AB drills, 7000’s are metallic drills, and 8000’s are their regular colors. Oh, and yes, DD sells an adhesive to turn those fabrics into canvases... strange they didn’t include a bottle or two with your boxes... what a fun surprise!!! Thanks for sharing!

Diamond Dotz my first love. i got one in the clearence aisle of walmart. finished it in 2 days and went back for the rest that were there. i ended up with 10 of them by looking in 4 different stores. that was exactly 2 years ago later this month. ( for a short time walmart sold some then got rid of them when they felt like they werent selling fast enough. they all ended up in the clearance aisle for 5 bucks) the free style is so cool you can do the thing where you turn a crossstitch to a DP. that one roll you had that you didnt know what it was, was double sided adhesive i think. diamond dotz also sells their poured glue in a bottle its called dotz stick its the same as whats on the canvas. i would love to see you turn a double sided adhesive canvas into a poured glue one with it if you can find the dotz stick it would be a cool experament (like peel the double sided tape off and put the poured glue on it). i would do it myself but in 2 years of doing DPS ive never had the pleasure of experiencing the double sided tape canvases. i get to go to joanns next tuesday i'll get some and send it (merry christmas). i was surprised it wasnt in this its my favorite thing in the freestyle set. you can turn ANYTHING into a DP.

I absolutely love Diamond dotz. Best drills I have found so far, they are sooo sparkly. The canvas is so nice to work on as well. I am not normally a partial fan but even there partials are great. The image quality is so good, they look great and often saves lots of the same colour or allows more detail on a small dp. . They do customs as well. I am currently doing one of my cat and he is looking great. Looks like he the is popping out of the pic. They have quite a few full drills now and just brought out framed canvas's with full drill squares. The fabric they sent is the canvas to do your own dp. They have a dotz stick glue as well and I am about to change a damaged dst into a poured glue. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. The husky will look great. 😀

DD sells poured glue in a bottle called Dotz Stick so you can repair or coat your own canvas. I use it on a canvas that is not sticky enough. Really awesome product.

Wow what an amazing haul Mrs Coffee. 🥰I personally love Diamond Dotz. Probably because it was my first diamond painting and in Australia it’s one of the brands we got the most of at craft stores. Those brushes are for the diamond dot Adhesive so you can brush it on anything and freestyle paint. Love the 4 seasons tree looks so beautiful and colourful. Thanks for sharing Mrs Coffee. ☺️

So cool! Didn't know they had that much stuff! I did a Diamond Dotz kit for my boyfriend. It was a sport car (partial) and I had so much fun working on it! It turned out great and he really likes it. My very first diamond painting was a partial butterfly from Diamond Dotz and I have done one other one from Diamond Dotz since then. I really like the quality of their canvases. I have noticed that their diamonds have quite a bit of static but I just use a dryer sheet to help with that. They have some great products!!

Except for some staticy drills, I love their stuff. I have several of their butterflies and absolutely loved doing them. Oh and Mrs. Coffee, I have a Diamond Dotz to DMC conversion chart for the drills if you want a copy. And on the rose, the numnum sign is an up arrow at the top of the rose center.

I love using dot stick when I accidently stick my arm on my canvas and it loses its stick or if I get one that just isn't sticky enough.I have gotten a double sided adhesive with the worst bubbles and rivers ive ever seen. I carefully ripped it off and put a thin coating of dot stick on it and it was just like getting a really nice poured glue canvas. I bought 4 bottles and have barely touched the first one I opened. I have a couple canvases that are just horrible with bubbles, after i get done with all my DACs I will fix and finish them. I also use it to stick my extra drills on some of my projects for my store. love it.

Snap, you just solved my problem! The bracelets are a great idea to use as a deterrent to having kids work on your big project! (Side note: I’m a therapist and I typically use the diamond dots sticker multipacks during sessions with my work kids. Most of them are a little enamored but my 30x40 pieces, they are generally happy with the stickers. Except one kid. I was able to deter the kiddo with a small emoji face, which lasted about as long as it took for the kid to finish it. Now, we’re back to asking about helping me with a big one and in the back of my mind I’m all like “I don’t want you messing up my picture!”) PS I love the feel of a diamond dotz canvas! I’ve never (I mean NEVER) had an issue with beads popping. Not sure if I need to seal these kits and if so, how (because of the canvas).

I like diamond dots. They have lots of sizes, which is rare. I also like buying these in craft stores so I dont need to pay for shipping. But they don't have much variety, worse because stores are having a hard time refilling their stocks now. I am picky so that can be a problem. Also I think the fabric is to make your own DP, Thats why they included adhesive, covers, and diamonds.

My 6.5 yr old loves diamond dots kids kits. He’s done almost all the current sticker and bracelets kits. And Minnie pictures. He loves free styling. He’s always wanting to do a DAC one but he’s not ready for that commitment yet lol. Although I did give him one of DAC “trials” and he did pretty good but I’m still not ready to see if he can hold a $50 kit lol. Hope your kids had fun!!!

LOTR Freak messing it up is a problem I don't have. If I leave my 4 year old to it, he will make my diamond painting all by himself. But I want to paint as well! So I gave him his own little one. Which is almost finished, but he still wants to work on my big ones as well. Both round and square. I think I'll go knitting.

I actually love their stylist drill pens.... I love my hand turned pens but I do use their drill pens with the grippers they have a nice grip, feel them and I love their blue and gray trays.... Yep they have gray ones too!! :)

The sandwich adhesive is like a laminating sheet sorta. You put the between the sheets and the top part is used as a cover. I looked it up to make sure but this is what it says: Cut out sandwich adhesive to your desired design size & shape. Peel back the white release paper and apply sticky side to your desired surface. Peel back clear top layer and dot directly onto sticky surface. Tip: the clear top layer can be used to protect the sticky surface in between dotting sessions

It is a partial, but after I completed it I was hooked on diamond painting. I have done several of their kits and have purchased several more to do and also have the light pad. I recently completed a freestyle picture for my daughter that I plan to have framed for her to display in her candle business. JoAnn Fabrics and Hobby Lobby have a variety of their products including kits, fabric, accessories and individual colors of diamond dotz.

I’ve done 7 of their kits, I didn’t want to order and pay a bunch of money and then not like doing them, so I started off with the ones I could get at local craft stores and fell in love. Their drills are staticy but as you mentioned dryer sheets will take care of that. Some seem to have more trash but there’s still more than enough to do the whole thing. I do have one where the canvas is cut wonky and not totally square but the painting area is fine. I’m gonna have to go get their conversion chart so I can put my extras in the same spot.

Whooooh! That Diamond Dotz kit is FIRE!! The diamond ornaments by count is cool! Never seen that before! Using dry brushes is great to clean the canvas of any dried glue after completion. Couldn't you use cross stitch patterns to make a diamond paintings using those blank canvases? We have not ordered from Diamond Dotz but have purchased kits in store (Hobby Lobby). Love that they are partials as most of their backgrounds don't need to be highlighted with diamonds. The canvases were high quality though it is kind of a pain to store their drills separately from other DMC drills. Having done more complex diamond paintings, Diamond Dotz seems very basic and simple but that is a very good thing when it comes to using diamond painting to relieve stress and just relax. Great gift idea for beginners as well.

I love Diamond Dotz as a well made mid range price diamond painting company with tons of options. To be honest they have more options than most companies as far what to do with diamond painting. Also it is quite easy to buy a kit with a coupon from Joann's or Michael's. The Black Friday sale at Joann's dropped the DD prices to OMG low enough to do a double take. The BEST thing about DD is the GLUE! Okay so why the glue? I swear this stuff is the poured glue that we end up seeing on our kits. It has weird instructions, just do two thick coats in whatever area you want to have drills and it's good. I use this glue the most of all their products! I bought some to put drills on a Wizardii wooden diamond painting mobile kit because it came with double sided adhesive where I was supposed to figure out how to put this sticker down and I thought, "Yea that is cute that you want me to try to do that but really just heck no!" So I used DD's glue. It works PERFECTLY! I expanded the idea and went to Michael's and the Dollar Tree to find some other wooden ornaments to add bling to. Yep! Worked great! Ok, lastly so say you find this awesome diamond painting but it came in double sided adhesive! I don't do double sided adhesive! PFFT that stuff. I pull it all off and yep put the DD glue. Easy to iron once that double sided adhesive is gone. Then lay out canvas flat and put two thick coats of the DD glue and now your canvas is poured glue!

I've only done one Diamond Dotz and it was fun. I did Midnight Cat for my mom. I agree that their wax is better than others, I'm still using it for all my other DPs. And yes, the drills were full of static, but the dryer sheet fixed it all up.

I've done quite a few DD paintings. The only thing that drives me nuts is the drills. They all have like a square on top of the drill. I feel like they all need to go in the same direction cuz if they dont, well it makes the painting look funny. Maybe it's just me but I can't let them go in all directions lol. Enjoy your gifts from them. You have money sitting there.

... the facets go in different directions because it makes them sparkle 100x's more than if they all went the same direction. I've never heard someone complain about the facets before seeing as how unless your nose is touching the painting you don't see them.

@@MrsCoffee1 it drives me crazy lol. I will try to ignore it. I'm not complaining about the facets at all. The paintings turn out beautifully no matter how you place them. They really sparkle either way.

The symbols are read looking at it vertically...the numbers are read horizontally. I’ve always liked Diamond Dots. I highly recommend them
