4:45 -- "Input of the guitar" -- you failed, that is an OUTPUT jack, not an input jack. The guitar is outputting sound via the cable, it doesn't get any input.
@SalmonFume7 жыл бұрын
The guitar in question is not by any means "outputting sound via the cable". Sound, as in audible waves, can be heard at the speaker of your amplifier. The cable does not "output" sound. It's function is sending an (analog audio signal) to the amplifier.
@5urg3x7 жыл бұрын
You're technically correct, for something to be sound it has to be heard; it's outputting an analog electric signal. But kind of pedantic...you know what I meant. My point anyway was, it's not an "input" -- it's an output.

Then the amps using more of all the money. I'm waiting for them to start putting tweed on their cardboard boxes. (This is what a cardboard box looks like. This is what a cardboard box is like with tweed on it. As you can see, the sound of this box is superior because tweed makes things super duper expensive and if it's more expensive then that means it's gooder). I imagine they have tweed toilet rolls in the bogs too. Tweed makes everything so much more expensive looking and betterer. If I were rich, I wouldn't wipe my arse with anything else. My amp has tweed caps. Tweed caps offer a sweeter high end with increased richness in the middle frequencies which makes this amp superior to other amps. I'm thinking of getting some tweed tubes for their increased melodic content but I think that's just a myth. Tweed for the win. Paint It Tweed.

In my experience, a new instrument will almost always will need a setup to adjust the action, intonation, etc., especially if you want to change the gauge of the strings it shipped with. When I got a new American Design Experience Strat from the factory a couple of years ago, I also had a problem with a couple of the strings going out of tune every time I used the trem bar. That issue required an adjustment to the tension on the "claw," the spring mechanism located behind that plate on the back of the body. I didn't feel comfortable doing that myself, so had a Fender tech take care of it for me, along with the setup (for an additional charge, of course). If you have a choice, I also recommend locking tuners, which greatly improve tuning stability and make changing strings a breeze. You can get them from Fender, or another vendor, such as Hipshot, Grover, etc.

I feel like a tip that was looked over is, when your guitar arrives in the box, you might want to wait overnight or even better 24 hours to open it. @@ChrisPBacon-nf3op Well, I'm no expert so I cant really argue, the reason I said that is because several guitars I have purchased have come with that warning. Including on the telecaster I bought, A sticker on the box recommended waiting 24 hours (:or overnight) to open so the temperature inside the case could equalize slowly. Got the same advice from Sweetwater when they shipped me guitars. So I was just giving advice that I've received before.

Prob for the same reason I'm watching it. Struggling for setup on these crap necks that always seem to have uneven frets is a strat thing and you probably came here for setup advice because you were trolled by the title which stated "how to set it up" before realising that you've just watched a 9 minute long strat advert that has absolutely ZERO set up advice and now you're kinda pissed enough to drop a comment. In your case, by the time the fucking slow ass youtube login let you in, you'd probably forgotten what you were so pissed about. I on the other hand, am not so lucky. My login time was also long but I'm an expert at staying pissed off and so was able to express in very strong words spoken with furious anger that this piece of shit video contains no set up advice and is indeed, just a promo for wankwads to wank over. In short, this video is best avoided. Oh and I still haven't done anything to improve this piece of shit neck with it's dire quality fretwork because instead of finding a way to set it up despite the piece of shit uneven frets, I've wasted 9 minutes watching a Fender wankfest and now I'm double pissed. I now realise that buying a strat means paying someone to finish the fucking job on the frets that Fender couldn't be fucking bothered to do. Some QC might have been nice as well but I guess thats extra too. I thank you for your time - I'm off to find out if strat body's make good dartboards.

Bought mine new in 1989, same color. I' m glad I bought it back then. Mine is still 100% stock. I also still have the brochure and the bill. I do not think the new standard is an improvement. Mine has the very nice TBX tone circuit, machined saddles (I think, they are matt/brushed looking) instead of the cast ones now, two decent string-trees instead that single crude piece of metal they use today. My neck has more adjusting possibilities. (through a hole in the neck-plate) No staggered poles. It came in a nice hardcase complete with a very good set-up booklet, a Fender carry-strap with those click/lock things. A fender cord (that still is perfect) and if I remember well some hex keys. Hey what song was being played at around 9:28? Was it just improvisation?

Did I miss the set up part? I just bought a Fender Strat and unboxed it, but unfortunately it hasn't been set up properly. Was hoping this video would help get rid of a whining ringing G string when muted.

I've been wanting to learn the electric guitar and use it in our church to play Christian rock

thanks to Fender and Al for that informative unboxing video. Just curious what year and series is that stratocaster? When showing the back of headstock - you could see the serial number started with MX indicating a Mexican made instrument. The neck is maple with 21 frets - could the guitar be a 50's series? My reason for asking a year ago I bought a strat online from guitar center - very similar (if not exactly the same) but the maple neck does not have a skunk stripe. It was advertised as a Standard Series 60s strat (which all have 22 frets). Also I cannot verify the serial number. Not expecting a reply - the guitar is fire, the neck is butter and the tone is unmatched. Thanks!

Great job but I still have an issue intonating the high E-string. I have a Fender American Standard Strat. It has two bolts / screws securing the bridge. My strobe shows the high E string slightly flat and I cannot shorten the string anymore because the saddle mechanism is right up against the bridge bolt. Neck relief and string height are set to spec. Do you have a solution? Thanks.

I just bought the same guitar as a beginner package with the amo etc and when I play it, all the strings vibrate as if something is loose. Idk if someone can help me out? Can’t seem to fix the oroboem

I couldnt help but notice that although the trem system is built for 5 springs ,fender has only decided to use 3 springs.I know that some of the lower priced guitar makes use only 3 springs and sometimes only 2 but i thought that fender would have fitted their guitar with 5 springs and left it up to the customer to decide if they wanted to remove any.
