I've been using a pick me up pen for a long time. When I refill,I just stick it in the wax. Just like a drill pen. I can usually do a whole painting,(sometimes 2),before refilling. It's the only pen I use for drilling. I recommend it.

hi rose, i love my pick-me up pen, there is a utuber called alison i think her name was, she removed the nib from a pink pen & put it in the pick-me up pen, it works a treat, the white gloop and wax will go tho the little hole. i use mine with nib. also the tool on the end will come out & another tool on the other end for you to use. x

I just want the tool end, lol. I use glue dots such a game changer for me over pink wax and blue tac.

I'm pretty sure you will like the way it works for special drills. You can also use it for normal drills. If you do, you will want to add a brass tips from a drill pen to it. I have a video on how to do that. The tip shouldn't be added for special drills.

Yes I take it apart and put my refill Blu TAC in it so I just twist

I actually took the sticky tac out of the my new pen and put in wax. I like the wax better. It's perfect for diamond painting. I'm happy to see that you got one. I convinced my sister to get one. Happy painting! And many blessings your way.

Try putting the metal tip from your diamond drill pen into your pick up in it works beautiful. Pull out the other and it has two tools

@@trishroberts4487 , you pull just the brass metal tip out of a regular pink drill pen (not the clear plastic part the brass tip fits in, just the brass tip itself. Then, hold the brass tip with some needle nose pliers against a hard surface like a ceramic tile, and press the end of the pick-me-up pen against it so the tip l gets jammed into the pen. You have to press really hard, so make sure the brass tip is on something that won't scratch if it slips. Be careful, because you don't want to break the plastic tip of the pick-me-up pen. Let me know if this isn't clear, and I can record a video "how to" sometime. ❤️😘

The back end of the pen comes out and has a point. So you can switch it back and forth. I also remove the glop of goop with my finger nail. You really only need the tiniest part and it can be flush with the end. I did a 60x60 pic without twisting it to get more goop to come out. If you keep it flush with the tip it does not leave residue on the beads and you are free to push the drills as hard as you want to move them around without leaving a blob on the drill. I also find it more comfortable to not have the tool sticking out the end because it changes the balance of the pen in my hand. But that's just me:-)

I love my pick me up pen. Have been using it since I got mine. Helps me drill faster. I just pull out the excess goop before using it and just minutely turn it so I down waste the goop. If you pull out the tool at the other end, there's another tip

I agree about the threading. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, because it doesn't seem like the threads should be exposed like that - the tip gets loose and almost falls off as I use the pen. 🤔.

I love the pen though it took me a half hour to get the cap off. LOL. Saddest thing is they cannot be refilled with the same sticky. Spot the craft is one of my favorite sellers on ebay. Great prices and shipping rates. So sad she is sold out of pens. I modified the pen as Doni did to better control placement.

I didn't like that putty at all so I picked, prodded and pushed until I got the putty out and filled it with the pink glue. I filled my painting with 79 diamonds before I ran out of the letter A, so I'm still going. I like it much better than the putty.

I use my drill pens with regular tips, or my pens from We Have a Handle on This for square drills. They all work about the same - it's a matter of preference for how they feel in the hand.

I just ordered the Quickstik, it was what was in your comments below, just spelled differently. The other one mentioned is out of stock. I also saw inserting a pink one's drill to into the pick me up's end. I haven't tried it yet. So far using a straightener is working on the square drills. One thing I've noticed is when it's running low on the putty it'll get a little wobbly, just turn the head about a quarter turn and it's just enough to keep right on going. I also found the checker board is harder with the pick me up. For me, pushing up and to the left has been the best way to align the square drills. I haven't tried it on a round yet. This is a great tool! I'm very glad I bought it. Thank you for your suggestions.

Pic me up pen has 2 pics on bottom pull bottom plastic piece out it has 2 ends one very pointy one kinda square.

Yes you can. I would suggest using pink wax as a refill. I've used white tack (Aleene's) and blue tack, and found they are too thick. They also have some sort of chemical reaction with the brass tips I stick in the end of the pen, which turns the tack black, so if some gets on the canvas, it's hard to get it off *and* it shows up. There are no refills, but the pen has lasted me a long time and is nowhere near empty. Some people refill theirs with pink wax, but I will just be buying new pens when mine run out.
