am i the only person who didn’t get to experience the ds era as a whole? i never got the opportunity to play on nintendo’s handheld consoles since my parents didn’t see the appeal and mainly bought tv consoles. i forgot about my dream of always wanting a ds until my boyfriend introduced me to his old 3ds. i fell in absolute love with it and now he lets me steal it from him whenever i wanna play 😭💞

Yes! I’m tempted to buy this 3DS off eBay cause I’m a pink freak but it’s region locked 🥲 and idk how to hack so I might see if my sister or boyfriend could help me cause I’m not techy at all It would also match my New leaf game so well! Especially the pink and white brick path I recreated cause I couldn’t find the QR codes for the original and just gave up and made them myself! I’d also just love to be able to hack my new leaf town since online play is being shut down April 8th

Same. As a kid I used to want a 3ds so badly since it’s launch but my parents didn’t want to buy me one and we were poor. I’m an adult now,but I’m still struggling financially and still don’t have one 😭 Learning that 3ds online services are ending soon is making me so sad since I’ll never get to experience it.

Pink is such a great colour for the 3ds, I have the Zelda one and I might go get it after watching this. Reminds me of camping with my friends playing new super mario download play and yelling like maniacs in the middle of the night haha

I ordered one too recently... I had a 3ds during 2014 but i spilled soda on it (i was a clumsy kid) and the battery corroded 💔 the new one should be here within the month! Congrats on your console, btw!

Really great video because EVERYONE is so Switch bound(which is fine) nowadays(even though both consoles could've easily co-existed), but ANY variation of the 3DS console RULES. Hope you still gaming on either console, keep the love of the 3DS ALIVE.

I used the '3ds Hacks Guide' website to mod it! It was fairly easy! It took about an hour - and the guide is very thorough.

I used the guide as well, since they update it a lot. But I watched youtube tutorials and it definitely made it easier so i really recommend that before just blindly following the guide

Is so beautiful!! I have a Ds lite with some games so I’m only planing on getting animal crossing new leaf, how much was it with new leaf? And is it region locked because it’s the Japan version? Also how did you mod it to get games for free? I really want tamodachi life but I don’t wanna pay the price for it 😅

hi! are u still able to play animal crossing online with friends if you have downloaded it for free because of the modded ds? Or is it like the sims 4 where you can only play it offline

Totally able to go online, yes. I started playing NL last weekend since I finally decided to homebrew my 3ds and you can still visit faraway towns and host users online :]

​@thejadeplant was it difficult to change the region since it's an ll. I also purchased a pink and while ll in the hopes to mod it as well like you. I'm hoping it's not too difficult since I'm a beginner 😩

@@priyathandi253 technically I did not region change my 3ds, I simply modded it so I could download games for free! Also by modding it, the ds is no longer 'region locked' meaning I can play games from other regions now. Originally the 3ds ll was only able to play games from Japan! This also means the 3ds is still in the Japanese language, but I haven't found any difficulties with that! As for modding it, it was fairly easy- I used to '3ds Hacks Guide' website to mod it! Best of luck with modding yours!

I just recently modded a psvita and love it but I wanted to play some more nintendo games. So I bought the 3ds xl, do you know if I can change the language to English down the road? If you live in UK I'd suggest CEX as that's where I got mine yesterday. Looking into paying someone to mod mine lol
