One tip from me is to allow plenty of time for the refurbished unit to break in. After replacing electrolytics and other components, the sound can change back and forth during the first 100 hours of play, or thereabouts.

I've got it running in as we speak, with different burn-in cd, on low volume, its sound very good, thanks for your advice👍

Strange having two different versions of the power Amplifier PCB's you can buy latest versions from Quad, 405-2

@@emscott2705 if you can get a good one/s i recom. 2 x Arcam Alpha 10 p,in a bi-wire config,hope this helps

@@markgallagher0000 Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I’ve had Arcam amps (albeit not the one you mention) in the past and as far as the amps go feel Quad 303 and 405s far superior in every way. Each to their own!
