I am unashamedly both. 🙂 If I had the space I would have both plants and cats in abundance. I currently live in a 28 foot trailer though, so there is not much space for either. You guys had such fun in this video. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy them so much. Thank you! 🙂

I've been an empty nester for over 20 years. The older I get the more I miss my kids. They all keep in touch, but it'll never be the same as they are all tied up with work and their own children. Enjoy them every day as the days go by too fast.

My oldest just got married this weekend. We moved him into his apartment the week before and walking by his empty room that first night I bawled like a baby. I realized that forever our family had changed. However I also realize I have a new daughter who I love wholeheartedly and she is exactly what we had prayed for in a helpmate for our boy. That makes it all worth it. God is faithful. Love Him.

The bed lifts are great for dorms. Gives them room to store stuff under the bed. When I was fixing my sons first apartment, I overheard him tell someone that even though he was in college, his mom was living with him so that was a signal that it was time for me to leave.

My empty nester moment was when our son, the youngest, left and went to Texas to live from Indiana. I cried for days!!😊

My college son does sports in college-football and track. He will come say "hi" after a game or at a meet, but not much more! He's off to talk to the friends! We've been passed over...even if we did drive several hours for these events! Oh well, I'm glad he's enjoying himself! On another note, our oldest is married with 2 kids now. The youngest is 5 months old and I get to watch her everyday while they're at work, and big brother too on non school days! So, that is a plus...grandkids!

I have a testimony. I was in the hospital for 4 days on the cardiac unit. They said that the blood wasn't flowing properly thru one side of my heart. A woman from pastoral care came to see me. We talked and prayed. She kept coming back..she said she was drawn to my room because she felt we needed to pray often. I had a team of 4 surgeons as my care team. I was told I needed.an angiogram to determine if I needed open.heart surgery or not. As it turned out, the Dr couldn't see any problem once he looked. Praise God!! I was released from the hospital that evening. I'm following up with a cardiologist to make sure.

My first empty nester moment came when my only child, at about 11 yrs old, told me he could not tell me he loves me anymore when I drop him off at school because his friends would make fun of him. I immediately said “we can make up a word that means I love you to us”! We decided on the word “CLICK” lol He is now 40 yrs old and we still use “click” before we say goodbye ♥️👵🏻🤣
