This brings back so many memories. My uncle used to own one of these and he eventually gave it to me when he had crashed Windows. Putting Windows back on it was a huge pain due to the lack of a CD player and the fact it couldn't boot from the USB ports nor SD-card. So, thirteen-year-old me (Turning 25 in a week, so it's almost half my life ago) tried network booting it, which was a success! The higher than average screen resolution got my mind blown when I was shopping for a new laptop. Just like the dedicated CTRL+ALT+DEL button, which is so useful. In Windows XP there are some fun software additions with the 'buttons' next to the screen. When you hove them with the pen, you would see tooltips on possible programs to run. If you tap them, you'd launch them. The little joystick also rotates with the screen, which was pretty cool. It's possible to run Windows Vista and 7 without Aero transparency, but it's not a great experience. Windows 8+ won't work because the CPU misses some instructions.

Nice video. I used to have a ton of motion computing tablets (1200; 1300; and 1400) all loaded with windows XP tablet edition. They were deployed to over 150 sites averaging 10 - 40 per site. We practically gave them away to a recycling company. If I do come across one I will be happy to send it your way. It may have a stylus but any should work. I know I should still have a matching docking station and USB keyboard with mouse trackpad to send with.great videos. Thank you.

If I remember correctly, those stickers on computers are not retail keys, but are somehow linked to the OEM and/or hardware configuration of a particular device. So I suppose if someone spent hundreds of hours recreating a specific machine's configuration and flashing the BIOS to get it to identify itself a certain way, etc, then maybe those OEM sticker keys might be useful lol.

I'm surprised you had never used an XP tablet computer before this! I thought they were pretty common: my mom had an HP tablet computer for work starting in probably around 2008, and I had the same one for school the 2012/13 school year (in both cases they were provided to us by work/school, so maybe it was more common for institutions to buy them than individual people?) When I had mine it was running windows 7, but I remember somehow figuring out that the school had put on like a pirated copy or something, so I assume it had originally come with XP or Vista.
