Im building a carbon mach 3 now. I have a M1850 6 grain for it! Lets race!

I’m jealous. I just built a fiberglass Mach 3 and I can’t imagine more performance.

I know everyone complains about the staining of ProLine 4500, but it does clean up pretty well with acetone if you get it right away.

Yeah, it's not too bad, just have to be fairly concise with where you're getting it haha. The Tub O Towels actually made quite a difference, too

I want to get my rocket license but I have a hard to figuring out how to achieve that.

Those carbon tubes are spooky light. Which reminds me I've got a minimum diameter build to finish for AirFest....

This is going to be a YEEEEEEET

Honestly, if you are using JB Weld for fillets, it's fine. Wipe it with acetone on a glove and it takes very little effort to clean up. Using it inside of the body doesn't work.

My last shipment of Proline from them did the same thing. The new plastic containers aren’t great.

Tip to tip won't help with those carbon plate fins. You can not make them any stronger than they are now. You only need fillets. On my mach 3.7 rockets I use two layers of course 2 inch wide carbon fiber in fillets with the Proline. Also, don't make your rocket too short. You can get instability even if the simulation is OK. Although, Scott's N5800 was probably failure of the nose cone base. Curtis is still working on my carbon fiber order. I should probably just order from Wildman. Did you get the high temperature carbon fiber?

Yep, that's why I don't plan on having any tip to tip reinforcement. This is the newest revision of the high temp nosecone from Wildman, yes. Not sure about the airframe resin itself.

To be fair, though, I don't think the idea behind tip to tip isn't to make them "stronger" necessarily. The added thickness can help resist flutter, but my understanding has always been that the idea is more secure attachment with t2t.

Does this mean your gonna get away from the electrical tape and twist and tape sleds on this one to help avoid putting expensive electronics in the ground?
@RocketVlogs3 ай бұрын
Considering that wasn't the problem, I see no reason to 😉
