Rachel, I've been following you since you started your YT journey. I've watched you grow as a young woman, a guitarist and a "KZbinr." In my eyes you've done well in all arenas. However, I had to make my first comment after watching this video. Although you flew through this video at the speed of light, it was an excellent presentation. Very well done! You're getting very good at this. Kudos to you! Keep up the good work and best wishes for the future.

Rachel- I was just listening to a Google Talk with Nita Strauss while working. Someone from the audience asked a question and it stopped me dead when I heard your voice. I had to dig my phone out of my pocket to see. It was like running into someone I know from back home in a foreign country.

This reminds me of my old Cort Effector guitar I had in the 80s. It had a bunch of built in effects built in to the guitar you access with push buttons. It wasn’t anything special but was a pretty cool guitar in the 80s.

There's an order to setting up guitars. always start with truss rod adjustments then raise or lower the saddles on the bridge. If you continue to tighten your truss rod( straighten the neck) and raise the saddles on the bridge, I assume you will get a lower action mid neck yet avoid fret buzz on the higher frets
@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
I did start with the truss rod and then adjusted the saddles. In this specific case it seemed like the buzzing was concentrated around one fret higher up the neck, so I'm guessing there's something slightly off there. But will play around with it some more!

this reminds me of Gibsons Firebird X from like 10 years back. A guitar that flopped so hard Gibson recalled them all and had them ran over w/ a bulldozer...a video of it was on YT. Anyway, this guitar is leaps and bounds above the firebird X. it would be pretty nice to have a preset tone ready to go besides the natural pickup sound. strange how a small company can put out something that is actually innovative and useful instead of just dumb gimmicks like 'cough, cough' Gibson has been doing for decades now.

A quick question. If I connect the guitar to the iMac (via USB cable) while playing guitar and listening to a backing track... does the iMac registers both the guitar and the backing track ????? In fact Mooer GE300 pedalboard registers only the guitar... THANKS !!!

Nice! btw recently, as a Les Paul player, I decided to buy a strat and kind of inspired by you I decided on Ibanez RG. I tried one looking like yours, but it was made of Ash wood, and I already have a heavy guitar, so I bougth a lighter RG:) def easy to play, easier than LP. But I still prefer LP for their tone, you should try one!
@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
That's cool! I believe my first RG is actually made of Ash too, it's super light. I really should try a LP style guitar someday :)

SO awesome! I was going to get a Dark Knight Stratocaster. I like this one because the jack is not on the front of the guitar like a strat. And this one has medium frets like a strat. do u think its worth $150 more for the p800 over the s801?
@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Mostly depends on how much the hardware upgrades (stainless steel frets, locking tuners, etc.) matter to you. The software is the same between the two. I personally do think I would get the p800, mostly just because I prefer the look of the finish and neck, but both are great options for what they do!

I mostly play distorted tones so I'm not the best to comment on that, but I'm sure there are some more clean focused demos out there too! The Single coil pickups are GTRS branded hum-cancelling (upgraded from the ones in the S800).

@RachelfGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Pretty subjective, though I'm not super picky when it comes to tones myself. The 4 defaults aren't my favorite, but I like many of the presets in the app and there is a lot of ability to tweak the tones to your liking as well. From my perspective, it isn't meant to compete with more expensive modeling systems; it really shines as a fun guitar for playing without being connected to a guitar rig or a computer.

@@RachelfGuitar it is fun for sure, but I don't find any other appliances for these kind of products so 800$ just for having some fun makes no sense to me But I'm so happy for you because mooer is such a big brand and being sponsored by them is a honour
