Thanks for the review. Can you tell me if ATS and ETM works for AM, FM and Shortwave? Do you have any other recommendations for a similar radio that takes 2 AA batteries and has ATS/ETM? The only other radio that takes 2 AA batteries is CCrane Skywave but it costs $150 in Canada.

@@tvradio1972 I am planning to buy this. I also have the XHDATA D808 which I recently bought. I am new to the SW band.

I don’t have that one, but I do have 10 Tecsun radios. 4 are am/fm, The rest are sw. my pl660 messed up, but the pl390 is one of my favorite radios. Also the r233. Tecsun quality is a lot better than most of the rest. I think you will enjoy that little one. 📻👍🙂‼️

Jeff King I am enjoying the PL-606. So far, there is some AM station imaging, but only on the lowest SW frequencies (2.3-3.2 Mhz). The rest of the SW, plus AM & FM are great.

De_Cos1972 I get that on my r9710 as well, but oddly, not on my r818.

Jeff King I guess it all depends on the radios, how well they can handle it and how close & powerful the AM stations are. The PL-606 does a good job of minimizing AM bleed on SW.

I would like to know how it works against the v111, and your little Radio Shack.

Jeff King I just checked a SW frequency on all 3 radios (3.215 mhz). I think the PL-606 works best, followed by the Radio Shack and then the V-111.
