I used the Micro 5.0 this year and it was a game changer for setup scouting and keeping the kids happy. I just sold it and bought the Micro 5.0 Pro not for the recording option but for the directional indicator on the camera. Not knowing which direction the camera is pointing when you are scouting turned out to be incredibly frustrating as I would find fish then have to grid out a large area just to make sure I was able to follow them.

Aqua Vu has fallen very far behind in the camera market. Marcum has truly taken over. You get on board recording and FULL HD on there hand held unit. I just sold all my Aqua Vu gear and switched.

Wow I’m surprised. The Aqua vu stuff I’ve seen has blown marcum out of the water. What model marcum did you switch to?

@@ActuallyAndrewFishing Marcum HDL. I just sold my aqua vu micro PRO, and my Hdi7 125 pro. Even left my VIP sponsorship with Aquavu. The HD7i Pro I had to have an extra device to record, the hand held micro recorded but would only do 720p. Marcum records in MP4 format, does full 1080HD, Shows direction, has led and infrared, can reposition camera in seconds without pinching in and hand held!

I currently dont have an underwater camera and hoping to add it to my repertoire next winter. This one looks pretty sweet. It will be either a Marcum Pursuit or an Aqua-Vu. Either way itll be a game changer

I've only ever used the aqua-vus and they've been great. You're going to love adding a cam to your arsenal.

I just got one of these today. I fish a lot of merky stained. I'm wondering if I made a mistake. How is the av722 in stained water?

I don't think any camera will be amazing in stained water, but you may have to move it closer to your lure.

Thanks, I know one of the micro models records but this one doesn't. I'm guessing thats why the battery lasts so long on this one. Recording would definitely be a bonus

What is the camera resolution?

I don't know exactly as it isn't published in the manual. It's really hard to tell resolution outside of the water I find too. I plan to do some underwater videos with it shortly and I'll have a better idea. We are right in that awkward phase between ice fishing and being able to fish open water.

This is not a good camera. After not even 10 uses the “waterproof camera” filled with water and you can’t see. I recommend the AV715c.
