Man - the KZbin algorithm gets on my nerves sometimes. I've missed seeing my Martyupnorth videos! I got some catching up to do. Great review! Me and my girlfriend (her mainly) really depend on these when we hike during the winter. Thanks for this and your other videos!

I appreciate that. To be honest, I haven't put out a lot of content in the last year, so the algorithm is not highlighting me. It's getting harder and harder to find new trails that I want to document. I have a few videos coming soon. I think everyone will find my White Goat Wilderness one quite interesting. Cheers.

Hi Marty. Always like to hear or watch what you got to say. Although you don’t do many gear reviews this one was on the money. I enjoyed watching this. In the past 15 years or so that I’ve watched your videos, you always show the best of Alberta or the many great places that Canada has to offer or just simply your lifestyle. I know that you have 3 boys and a daughter, that you met Karen on your birthday which also was hers and I know that you have gifted a toque or hat as we Chicagoans call them once or twice LOL. In closing just want to add that through the years I’ve learned a boatload of information and tips about hiking and backpacking. Thanks for you sharing all this knowledge. Go Blackhawks and all the best from Chicago. Mike

Mike, you've definitely been long time follower, and I totally appreciate your feedback. It's encouragement like yours that keeps me going. I especially like hearing that people value my content and enjoy the way I present subjects. Your Blackhawks got a great new player, and I hope it works out for them, but I can't cheer you on. Go Flames Go.

Nice review ,What part of the warmer actually heats up? Just the curved outer portion? What about the sides and inner (black) side?

Might need a pair for winter. I hate throwing single use warmers into the garbage.

Wow thanks. I’ve been buying equipment and practicing small winter hiking and camping for the past two winters. This year I will have a complete winter backpacking set up and plan to hit the mountains. This might be nice. How about putting them in cold hiking boots in the morning and starting our warm?

I would prefer these hand warmers to be bigger but thinner and made of softer rubber, but they are really good

I bought an Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmer (and a hand warming muff) and can’t say enough good things about it. I’ve had it for 2-3 years and it will go like 24 hours on low. It’s great for hunting because it doesn’t have any chemical smell like a Zippo and it can be turned on and off as needed.
@Martyupnorth Жыл бұрын
You bring up a really good point. The ability to turn it on and off is something I should have emphasized. That's a real downside of the disposable ones. Once they are activated, they can't be turned off.

It doesn't get very warm though even on max.

@@Niick_18 maybe you got a dud? On max I can't hold it comfortably it's so hot. I usually use it inside a pocket or hand warmer muff on low.

You weighed the device before you charged it does that mean electricity has weight

can you charge this with an anker 20,000 power bank in the field?...thanks
@Martyupnorth Жыл бұрын
The instructions say that charging works best if the input to the hand warmer is 5V 2As (2,000 mA). So check your power bank for it's output capacity. Cheers.
