I don't know how I missed this video! I've been binging all of your content since I found your channel last year but, I must say that had to be one of the sweetest, most tender tarantula pairings I've ever seen! They were so gentle, almost affectionate towards each other... could it have been true spidey love? Lol. Seriously, wow, that was amazing to see and it must've been even more beautiful to witness in person, as nervous and anxious as you might've been, lol. Great video showing the pairing - one of the best I've seen. Mature males of this species are just gorgeous looking with their fuzzy legs that go on for days. This species has a reputation of double clutching, so have those vials/deli cups ready!

my first spider was a Psalmopoeus cambridgei its never been aggressive/defensive or threat mode but its SUPER skittish and bolty and very very very very very fast Ive rehoused it twice and omg its been more difficult than any other spider and its sooo nearly escaped both times and that was doing it really carefully with plastic cups and pieces of card w/ holes in etc theres no way I could ever do it like you did or spider would be gone but yay it looks like you got a successful mating so there could be baby spiders coming 😍😍😍

That was very cool to see. A couple of weeks ago i also started my first breeding project with my P. irminia's and i was very scared for my male because my female is also a monster xD But everything went very gentle and i saw 2 insertions, afterwards the male walked slowly back out of the enclosure. Good luck and fingers crossed for some babies ^^

I really like the look of these tarantulas but I also heard they were kind of defensive and bolty. Also, I wonder if that squeezy airball thing you had at the start would stop the female if she tried to eat the male?

I just got 2 slings in the mail about 3 weeks ago. Very cool tarantulas. I don't talk to much in my videos cause i believe it spooks them from the vibration in my voice talking over them. I'm not set up to do voice overs yet, but will be investing in a good camera and some editing software. Right now I'm doing everything from my phone. Maybe we will do some breeding projects one day.

I just got a P. cambridgei sling and they're quickly growing on me :) Do they usually have color differences between the sexes? It seems like the females are the dark olive and black, and the males are more brown and grey?

It's difficult to tell when they're young. They'll look more of a golden tan when they're spiderlings and juveniles and they'll pick up the more greenish color as they get closer to maturity. The males will tend to stay a tan color and become almost gray at maturity.

tarantula Kingdom not a bother at all. Most of it just comes from practice. My first video I was so nervous I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my throat. I think the best thing that you can do is prepare what you are going to say. Maybe have something off screen that you can refer to. Also record in short clips then piece them together in post. I find the best thing that helps me is to act like I’m talking to a friend when I’m talking to the lens of the camera. I try to tune out all of the other thoughts as far as who is going to watch it and what they will think. Just act natural and tune it all out. People will appreciate you for it. Best of all if you make a mistake, stop and shoot it again. Or just pause, correct yourself and cut out the mistake and splice in the corrected version. Hope this helps. 😊
