the Porter Cable PC560 Quik JIg and Porter Cable 552 were my introduction to pocket holes and are still my go to 25+ years later. Did not know that Castle had licensed the tech to Porter Cable until recently, if true?

Yes the Porter Cable jigs are nice, a different price point than the K4 style jigs. If I used pocket holes as part of my regular joinery method then they make sense - as do the more production focused Kreg jigs. But for lower production runs the K4 style makes sense. Cheers Andy

I have the Axminster jig very similar to this and to be fair to this a very similar level of quality. I think Kreg have lost this market too many jigs available that are far better.

The drill bit depth bush and the guides did not fit the drill bit they sent with mine. (Also, my guides came out of the jig) I tried the Kreg bit I have, and it also didn't fit in the guides. I'm in the process of getting this corrected by Banggood but it seems to be a lengthy process where they asked me to provide pictures, a video, and then to circle the defective components on a picture they sent to me. I'm about to give up and ask for a refund. Too bad really.

Thats a shame, but thank you for sharing this. Looks like they have a quality controll issue. I’ll drop them a line and see what they say. Cheers Andy

Hi, I can imagine the problem. My workaround and daily procedure: I place one element of my folding meter stick (3mm) between the inserted drill tip and the base plate - fix the collar and I'm good to go. 30mm back panel screws do a perfect job as long as the board thickness is at least 19mm.
