The deflector cap is to protect any surrounding wires etc. from the heat produced by the gun. That way, you only direct heat onto the shrink tube. 👍.

my iron works as a flame thrower , but as soon as I put the soldering tip.on , it doesn't ignite.

wie warm wird die spitze ? reicht temp zum aufschmelzen auch wenn man auf eine metallplatte / platine auflöten will ? ich habe den akkulöter von parkside , der bringt nicht viel wärme , also wenn man nur das lötzinn an der spitze aufschmelzt geht das aber sobald man eine platine oder lötfahne mit dranhält reicht die wärme nicht mehr aus, weil die wärme zu stark abgelietet wird und der kolben nicht genug wärme nachliefert .. zum löten ist das ehr echter mist.. es geht dann nicht mehr.

Looks like a gun from a old sify movie 🤣 I have even seen in some sify movies ratched Screwdriver's on star trek old movies 🤣 the forbidden kli gon disruptor with the black pistol handle and the ratched mechanics in the front part, I had this ratched screwdriver in my childhood. 🤣
