Since you are a new lectic bike owner, I just want to shed some light to you. According to the manual, when the charging adapter LED turns green, this means that the battery is fully charged and you need to disconnect the charger immediately to avoid overcharging. This is true but not entirely. When the LED turns green, it means that the majority or the first battery cell (dont know which one is which) is fully charged but the rest of the battery is not yet fully charged. This is why you still want to keep the battery charged even though the LED has turned green. The only way for you to know on when you should disconnect the charger is if you have a Watt meter that measure the Watt power being drawn out from the electric wall socket. IF the power drawn out from the wall is about 2 watts, that means your battery is fully charged. You may now disconnect the charger. Another method to know when the battery is fully charged is by turning on the ebike and check the voltage. If it gives a reading of 54-55 volts, that means the battery is fully charged. I never use this method so I am not so sure about it. So if you stop charging the battery after the LED turns green, you may not get the distance listed in Lectric website. In addition, you may not wear out the battery cells evenly because some cells are not fully charged and some cells are fully charged. Another thing to point out, do not pay attention to the batter bar anymore. That is not a good indication to check if the ebike will run out of juice. Look at the voltage. You do not want the voltage to drop below 43V. This will degrade the battery quickly and it may kill the battery completely. When you are not using the bike for 1.5 months or more, store the battery with 45 volts in it. You do not want to fully charge the battery and then store it for a long run until next year. It will degrade the battery quickly. I am giving this suggestion to prolong the health of you lithium ion battery so that you can maximize the use of the battery for a long period of time before you need to purchase a new battery. Oh yah one more thing, dont put the bike in the cold or hot area, e.g., in the unheated garage or close to a heater. You want to store the battery in normal room temperature. In cold room, the battery will loose is health because of the cold (so dont ride it in the winter). In hot room or next to a heater, the batter will also loose its health and will increase the likelyhood from catching fire. This is purely the fact about lithium ion battery. You do not want this thing to catch fire in your home. You can buy yourself a nice temperature/humidity $5-$10 device connected to a router via wifi that will send notification if there is a sudden change in temperature. Put this device close to your bike. It will send a notification to your phone even if you are not at home. This battery they do not catch fire easily as long as you keep it away from hot temperature area and you do not overcharge it too much. I use this: www.temu.com/1pc-tuya-zigbee-wifi-temperature-humidity-sensor-home-connected-thermometer-compatible-with-smart-life-alexa-google-assistant-g-601099517992451.html?top_gallery_url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.kwcdn.com%2Fproduct%2FFancyalgo%2FVirtualModelMatting%2Fcc12270b8914702337898a3ca8596c2f.jpg&spec_gallery_id=2002876339&refer_page_sn=10009&refer_source=0&freesia_scene=2&_oak_freesia_scene=2&_oak_rec_ext_1=NjI3&search_key=tuya%20wifi%20smart%20temperature&refer_page_el_sn=200049&refer_page_name=search_result&refer_page_id=10009_1693848959353_ja7k09p8yg&_x_sessn_id=9szdyyec94 to monitor temperature in my apartment. I also use this: www.amazon.com/Kasa-Energy-Monitoring-Smart-Plug/dp/B08LN3C7WK/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3OIL0E79YFG2U&keywords=TP+link+kasa+KP115&qid=1693849041&sprefix=tp+link+kasa+kp11%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-3 to monitor the power draw from the wall. So if the power draw is about 2 watts, I disconnect the charger. Make sure you are home when you are charging (I just never trust lithium ion battery).

There is no voltage meter on the bike, only "energy bar". How can you check voltage?
@salamdamai Жыл бұрын
@@helenwood1 Yes there is. If you tap the large button (the button that you use to turn on the bike), it will change the display. Keep tapping, until you see the voltage. It will show the mileage, current mileage, current in Aphere, voltage, etc.

Looks like you got a factory demo to me. Where the brand new bike folds together it looks like the paint is chipped, plastic battery cover missing, cord and charger out of box and the chain is already on.

Hi there, never thought about it that way, but I bet you are right. At least everything works. Thanks for the comment!

We ordered two and they showed up today. The chain was already set up on both. My wife’s white 3.0 had everything in place including the battery cap and everything tightened down. My black 3.0 was for the most part the same except the battery cap was missing, did not have the velcro strap, the power button/power assist controller was tightened up in the wrong location and the display was loose. Everything tightened up and in the correct position now. They both work great.

Did you ever figure out what that extra cord was for?
@theadventuresofkayru Жыл бұрын
It was part of the battery charger, kind of through me off since it was hanging loose in the box.
@sunnycharacter Жыл бұрын
@@theadventuresofkayru I wondered about that. Apparently your batteries came loaded in the bikes? Our batteries and keys came in separate shipping boxes, and the charger and cables were in a box, within the bike box. Texas 🤠

@@sunnycharacter hmm, both our batteries were installed, one had a protective cap I had to remove, but all is well!
@sunnycharacter Жыл бұрын
@@theadventuresofkayru Yes, it depends on each state, has their own laws on how lithium batteries are shipped. But our battery packages came same day as our bikes, so that was cool. Took about six hours to charge them up to 54.6 volts for the extended range batteries.
