Fall colors aren't exclusively the colors of changing leaves (example: shades of purple). Dark teal is def a fall color.

Great video. Just an idea, I haven’t tried this yet, but for my enamel pins that I get in book boxes I plan to cut the metal points off and glue magnets on to make them into refrigerator magnets/decor.

The deep teal is a modern fall color but not a traditional fall color. I have a bunch of fall decor purchased in the past couple years that heavily features the deep teal.

It is so pretty and I'm glad I got it, My teapot and saucer came broken though but they are sending a replacement so that's nice! I don't drink hot tea like that but I think it is super pretty! That teal is a TOTAL Fall color... It was the color of my Brides maid's dresses and I had a fall wedding! lol

Sorry, I agree with your husband! :P Just because, in modern times, interior designers, etc., decided to include certain colors in the "fall" palette to add more variety doesn't mean those colors are actual fall colors. It just means they (may) complement fall colors - an important distinction. The color of that book isn't found in nature during fall, which is where the fall color palette is taken. Tree leaves don't turn blue, no fall harvest foods are blue, etc. I can think of nothing associated with fall, whether in nature or for holidays, that is blue. Sure, some colors may go well with fall colors, but strictly speaking, the colors that objectively signify the changing of the seasons from summer to fall, that define fall, that people immediately think of if asked about fall, are various shades of yellow, orange, red, brown, etc. I guess you could say the sky is sometimes that crisp bluish color, but it's like that during any season, it's not unique to fall. Now, I could go with it being a winter color...cold icy blue. Sorry for the pontificating comment, don't hate me! I still love your channel! :D

The Night Circus teapot is made like this (bottom just white, top themed) because you are supposed to stack it on top of the teacup when you put it on the shelves. Try it, it will look more complete together. :)

I can't see another comment mentioning it, so fyi, a teapot (like the one you were sent) is a vessel you pour boiling water into as well as putting the tea bags in for them to "stew", whereas a kettle is electric and you put cold water in it only; it boils the water for you and then you stew the tea bags in your teacup/mug 🙂 Edit: I don't know if "stew" is the correct word, it's just what my husband says!

i'd say it's a fall color. the sky is in all seasons, so blue gets to be a color in all seasons lol those books are gorgeous. use to do the mystery crates, kinda burned out on the extra stuff they include. the one off's are a good idea. night circus probably would of got me. pretty cool

i think technically fall colors are yellow, orange, and red because of the leaves, but dark jewel toned colors, like teal and dark purple fit the fall vibe

To me teal is not a fall color. Depending on the shade you might be able to argue wintery cause some ice can look teal-ish. But fall to me is Orange, Red, Yellow, Purples, Coppery-browns. xD

I think of blues as more summer colors and greens as spring/summer personally. For fall colors I think of reds/oranges/yellows. Edit to say that's really oversimplifying it of me though...a lot depends on the shade. Pale cooler blues can def be wintery and warmer blues with more red in them can lean fall, whereas brighter yellows are more spring and warmer yellows more fall.

While fall colors absolutely go beyond orange, green, and mustard yellow; I think I would say teal is too bright. Maybe a winter color, but I tend to think of dark earthy colors for fall.

Hahaha! I have tiny hands, too 😂 I remember my volleyball coach in high school would yell at my for not opening my hands enough to block so I showed her how I was doing it and she goes "oh, you just have really small hands". 😆 PS. Love teal for fall!

Some of those Night Circus artworks, especially the pieces on the book tin, look like they're by Rosiethorns88??? She's everywhere.. That particular shade of teal/ teal green according to Pantone is more of a summer color to me, if it was slightly more warm and green like 336 c or 3308 c I'd call it fall color. Technically that blue is monsoon color to me but I don't think USA has monsoon.........

Not a violin but a piano player: stretching is definitely something I need to do, but I'm pretty sure all instrumentalists should stretch before practice? Probably in different ways for different instruments though. ;)

Bruh the struggle of small-handed instrumentalists is real! 😩 I can't reach anything above an octave and even then it really puts strain on my hands when I have to do these huge four-fingered chords (which is also why prep and stretching are important!). People think you're just being a whiny wimp when you point this out but no one is saying we can't play at all because of it, of couse we can! But it's just a bit more difficult for some things than it would be for someone with bigger hands. We should be able to acknowledge that. I don't personally think teal is a fall colour at all, but I don't think it matters all that much. 😆 Also if you enjoy pretty clocks Elliot, there are two beautiful astronomical clocks in Europe you might want to see one day: one is in Strasbourgh, the other in Prague. 😉 Also, perhaps a bit of an unpopular opinion (though please let not anyone take this as an attack on their personal enjoyment of such book boxes): I really don't like the execution of book boxes lmao. Like I wish there were more services providing _special_ editions specifically, yes, but without all the additional "crap", so to speak. Folio Society is basically the only company that does this for me, but I'd be so happy and enthusiastic to see a few new companies doing something similar, with a focus on SFF publications! I just don't like all those extra little objects which, most of the time, seem to me to encourage consumerist "stuff accumulation" (again, not judging anyone else, just speaking of my personal tastes and perception here). Like okay, the tea cup and pot are actually useful, but what if you don't need new ones? And like those acrylic stands, what's the point of them? Honestly I'm even like this when it comes to crowdfunding campaigns: I *hate* it when I get extra "goodies" in addition to the original book I wanted. Tiny weird-formatted bookmarks that won't fit with my other ones, pins or art cards I'm never going to do anything with, etc... All that stuff just ends in the bin and when it's not even recyclable, I just feel horrible about it and all of that just causes me ridiculous amounts of stress. 😅 That being said, those books are indeed very pretty editions, I just find it too bad they aren't accessible without the rest.
