Very much enjoy seeing these unboxing vids of the relatively obscure models. Moreso, your candid reviews of the various quality issues you see are much appreciated and respected.

I did the 2017 Fiesta kit by Belkits as a review for a website provided by Belkits, it was an amazing kit. Such a great atte turn to detail. Honestly the best model kit I've built to date. This one I've been waiting for, hopefully I.may be able to get hold of this one for review and build in the future. Also Seb Loeb is pronounced "Lobe", he's a 9 time WRC champ 🏆

I may have to get this kit. I love WRC and Loeb is a living legend. WRC Champ nine years in a ROW!

I've built the Polo WRC from belkits, it was a great kit with excellent decals. Their kits are expensive, but worth it.

I just finished my first WRC car build and really enjoyed the extra detail bits in the process. I think you will enjoy the kit and adding your touch to the given details.

I've done the Ford Fiesta 2017 and Volkswagen Polo R 2015. Both kits had an amazing fit and decals were of high quality compared to other manufactures. All of this plus the added photo-etched parts really justify the price.

Looks a great kit. I built my first Belkits earlier this year - the MG Metro 6R4 and you really get a lot for your money. I've been wanting to see more race cars from you Tom so I look forward to seeing this come together.

Also, a question if you can. How are Aoshima and Belkits associated? I have seen both names on many ads for Belkits models.

I probably will disagree with the statement that this model will be fine for beginners. This is really good kit but it require some skillset which beginners might lack i.e. work with multimedia materials on the kit. For beginners probably will be better to start with earlier Belkits kits or with Tamiya or Hasegawa rally car kits to build up skills and reduce frustration. 😉 If I remember right the last rally car you build on the channel was Renault Alpine A110 which was many years ago.

No offence to Airfix, as I have two Fiesta kits of theirs to build, and the wheel/tyre combination is that the wheels and tyres are molded as the same item, so no fake rubber. Crap really. I also thought that Belkits are too expensive, but now I have seen this great review I think I may be getting one. They seem to have thought of everything for the modeller. Much appreciated video.

Could you give me some tips to paint a plastic model because I just bought my first model so will it be a good move to use acrylic paint if not then which type of paint you prefer Edit: the plastic model is 1997 Ford mustang

Belkits say by the end of 2021, but I doubt it. This kit (Citroen) has already been delayed by months. Just recently, the Citroen kit was suppossed to be out in August but now they say September. It might even be delayed again!

Its a shame that theses kits are super expensive you are looking at over $100 Australian which is expensive for a curbside car. Not something I would really spend my money on when you can get the new McLaren Senna by Tamiya for $92. Thanks for the look i know for future refence.

I've never built a car model. Is it a big jump from historical modelling and gunpla?
@TheScalemodelingChannel3 жыл бұрын

@shanepatrick45343 жыл бұрын
@@TheScalemodelingChannel I think you're messing with me. I was wondering about the sanding materials needed. Gloss tanks(AFVs) don't look too good. I have a couple of Tamiya motorcycle kits I've been meaning to make.
@jean-francoistremblay1433 жыл бұрын
The jump is not that hard. The hardest part is getting a smooth shinny finish. That is a whole technique chapter by itself (tip : its all about your initial surface ;) ). Dont expect it to be perfect on your first model.
